"The check in was horrible. Somehow Trip.com didn't make the payment so they wanted me to pay again! I contacted Trip.com, Joyce was helpful but she tried calling the hotel and they didn't answer. Eventually the person who wasn't even there at the front desk contacted Trip.com and the payment went through. This whole process took 45 minutes. That kiosk systems isn't good, it is hard to understand the person and it takes forever. Once I was assigned the room, the key didn't work. Oh yeah, they told me there was no WiFi or TV. The bed was good and the air condtioning was very good. The shower was one of those low flow ones. The room was okay. I would have been reasonable happy had the check in gone smoothly and there was WiFi."

"Vi elskede vores ophold på Makanda Inn!Vi boede i Indigo-kabinen i nogle dage i slutningen af august, mens vi vandrede i Shawnee National Forest.Kabinerne er ideelle for par. Indigo er forbundet til en anden kabine, men du har stadig masser af privatliv, selv når begge er beskæftiget.De er opvarmet/luftkonditioneret, hvilket var vigtigt for os, fordi det var i de høje 90'er hele ugen vi blev der. (Vi brugte ikke balkonen og ildstuen meget af den grund, men de ville helt sikkert være en plus i efteråret.) Treppen fra soveværelset til køkkenet/sædeområdet nedenfor er smal og twisted, Så hvis du har mobilitetsspørgsmål, anbefaler jeg at blive i en af suiterne i hovedbygningen i stedet.Frukosten er stor, og personalet er vidunderligt."
