"It’s a very charming place with a real wabi-sabi atmosphere - simple, quiet, and full of nostalgic beauty. Quite old-fashioned, but well maintained. This spot became popular on a Russian platform, so there are many tourists from Russia ( me as well) . When I visited the onsen, there were seven people in total - all Russian girls. Overall, it doesn’t stop you from having a great rest. However, it’s not really suitable for a honeymoon, as my husband and I were separated the whole time — there are no mixed onsens for men and women, probably because the place is now mostly visited by foreigners. When we checked out, they kindly drove us back to the station. I left with a complete sense of relaxation. Thank you!"

The owner is from Beijing, very enthusiastic and polite, though it was hard to find the AC switch in the lobby. The location is excellent, very close to the train station and Mount Omuro, and a taxi ride won't cost much. The best part is the great value for money, making it perfect for family travel. The hotel also offers pick-up service from the station before 10 PM."
