"The Hotel Nuka is a very nice, basic, unpretentious place. The rooms are a bit on the small side and don’t have much of a view, but very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a bit tight and the fact that it was a “wet” bathroom made it a bit sloppy. We liked the free pick-up and drop-off to/from the airport – very handy. The included breakfast was at the Café Nuka, just across the street, and we found it to be basic but very tasty. We felt this place was good value for what we paid. Overall we had a great experience and would recommend it to other travelers looking for a good value base in Ilulissat."

"We stayed here for the whole of our four night trip to Ilulissat. We were picked up and dropped off by the shared Ilulissat shuttle bus which met the plane - we even got a transfer back to the airport early so we could go on a flightseeing tour before our flight home. Our room was at the side of the hotel but still had a view of the icebergs in the bay, and a patio. It was warm - often we left the door open to cool it a bit. A good bed and shower, internet worked fine. We ate lunch and two dinners here and they made a special effort to cater for my wife's vegan diet. All the food was very good, especially my fish dishes, all caught in the bay. Good red wine too. Price wise, not cheap, nor was the food, but no more than many other places, but Greenland simply isnt cheap at all. A great location overlooking the bay just out of town. We walked in and out quite a few times to go on tours, no issue at all. Only hassle was noise from other guests at 1am - no idea what they've been doing until that time in sleepy Ilulissat to make so much noise, but I suspect the local beer was involved... Overall though, a great stay, staff excellent and helpful, and just being on the cost with the view of the icebergs helped make the whole trip perfect."
