"Excellent location close to the square and the Menin Gate. Lovely room, although layout a little strange with sink in the room and separate wc and shower. Shower wasn't as clean as we would have liked and leaked out into the room, so perhaps the design needs addressing. Really comfortable bed and complimentary water was appreciated. Bar closed at 10.30pm."

"These brand-new rooms are located on Boterstraat, a stone's throw from the Grote Markt. The Menin Gate is just over five minutes away, and you can park for free at Minneplein, which is a 450-meter walk away. We had the 'Family Father' room, which means you have to climb three steep flights of stairs and another flight of stairs to the upstairs bedroom. The rooms were clean and modern with coffee facilities. Power outlets are available next to the beds. The beds were comfortable, though the pillows were a bit on the thick side. And the space around the bed was a bit cramped. The friendly host sent a WhatsApp message on the day of arrival with the codes to get in, which worked perfectly. From the balcony, you have a view of the Cloth Hall and the cathedral. Unfortunately, breakfast is not available there, but there are plenty of options nearby. There was one hook in the bathroom; otherwise, there was nothing to put your clothes or belongings on."

"There are many negatives here that have been highlighted by previous travellers and yet no attempt to fix by the owner. The internet wifi is unusable. It takes nearly 5 minutes to download a search for local restaurants or 3 minutes to download a simple email from gmail. You need your own data plan. The price of breakfast is ridiculous at EUR 20 which defeats the point of a “BnB”. There is a trip hazard when you walk in the door. I rolled my ankle on the gap in the entrance foyer . The street noise is unbearable until 11pm as the property is located on a main road that has cobble stones. Our room was not serviced during our stay, which makes you feel like it is a basic Airbnb apartment, not the boutique hotel as advertised on their website. The location is good and parking is close , but communication with the owner is poor and I would recommend a local hotel rather than returning here."

"Jeg ankom tidligt, og mit værelse var klar og i stand til at kontrollere, hvilket var fantastisk.Værelset havde en stor seng, aircondition og et badeværelse.Duschen var en håndholdt enhed og ingen bruserstang.Det gav mig dog ikke noget virkeligt problem. Maden var fremragende, men restauranten er lukket i weekenden, men igen er det ikke et problem, fordi du er ret tæt på Ypres og faciliteterne der.Frukost var en kontinental type og meget god. Hotellet er på frontlinjen WW1 og ved siden af en krater forårsaget i den store krig og en kirkegård en kort gåtur væk.Jeg gik ind i Ypres fra hotellet og er en behagelig 45-minutters gang.Jeg så ingen busser. Jeg tror, de fleste mennesker har en bil eller cykel, så ikke igen et problem.Personalet er godt, og det er smukt at sidde på gården med en drink om aftenen efter nogle vanskelige turer i løbet af dagen. For motorcyklister er cyklen grov og lidt ubehagelig at bevæge tunge cykler rundt."

When we arrived Katie showed us around the apartment and explained how everything works. The apartment is absolutely superb and spotlessly clean. Katie gave us numerous restaurant recommendations and was so helpful. A fantastic location and would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking to stay in Ypres"
