"We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Kastro a small family run business. The hotel is located on top of the hill with excellent views of the ocean. There is parking outside the hotel and is reachable on foot via the road or staircase leading directly into the town Center. A short walk will take you to Therma. We loved the location and views. Very well priced and super clean hotel with the best views in town."

"Have no idea what people find wrong with this hotel, perfect as only 5 min walk to the dock area with all the bars and restaurants and a couple of small supermarkets, please remember this is not the mainland so no large supermarkets, but prices still good. Back to the hotel the Staff were great and friendly, rooms perfect, remember your only sleeping here it’s not your home. Cleaned every day and spotless, balcony is small but lovely to sit out on. There was a good size fridge and the best supply I’ve ever had off hot water for washing anytime of the day lovely hot water. Only one little thing, they do not have a lift, they have a small internal luggage lift but not to be used by guests. There are a lot of stairs, from the front of the hotel up to reception is a large flight of steep steps. But it’s a hilly island so you won’t find a lot of flat land, if you’re not great on your feet or don’t like steps this might not be the right island for you. The island is amazing but only has one issue, getting around, there is no public transport at all, there are taxis but super expensive airport to this hotel €60 I understand why as it’s not a easy island to get round. I would suggest hiring a car the roads are very good, but don’t trust google maps. Plenty of hire car firms, mine met me off my flight the day I arrived. You could go local and hire a moped also, very popular. So to sum it up great island, great people and great hotel. Enjoy."

"When I arrived at the port of Agios Kyrikos there were no taxis available because they were all at the airport. There I was, completely stranded in a strange place, and no idea how I was going to be able to get my luggage to an hotel, on a hill. Lady luck smiled on me and a delightful Swedish family, who were hiring a car, offered to drive me to my hotel. I will forever be grateful to George who took me and carried my luggage up the stairs into the hotel for me. Before this point, I was beginning to feel that I had made a mistake choosing this place. However the wonderful staff at the hotel, made me feel so welcome - we ended up having lots of long chats. Georgia, Toti and Olibia for manager needs to value you, because as the front of house staff you make this hotel work! Great recommendations for things to do, restaurants to visit. calling taxis and just making life easier for you visitors and me in particular have been very appreciated. Then there's Therma that you recommended. I loved it there too and it made such a difference to the pains that I suffered at Athens airport on arrival. I cannot thank you enough for making my time at Kastro so happy and enjoyable."

"The hotel is close to good beaches, such as Mesakti, also convenient is the fact that it has parking, rare for Ikaria.. Clean with super comfortable mattress and pillows, I had such a good sleep! It also has a wonderful well-kept yard with flowers and greenery, sea view with a beautiful balcony in the room, pool for swimming-drinking-relaxing. The only thing I didn't enjoy enough was the breakfast, the buffet had a lot of variety but I can't forget the dry slices of bread or even slices of toast without any other bread as I managed one day.. the breakfast was not worth it for 20 euros a day for the couple, but in all the rest it is worth it and I highly recommend it"

"Vi besøgte Ikaria for første gang.Det var en drømrejse.Krame er et af de få tilgængelige hoteller på øen. Men ikke alle faciliteter er tilgængelige ... Jeg kunne lide udsigten, tæt på centrum, jeg kunne lide personalet og ejeren, de var høflige, selv om vi havde et argument. Jeg kunne ikke lide, at jeg valgte det hotel til poolen (for de vindende dage), og hjulstolen kunne ikke nå dette rum.Jeg kunne heller ikke tage hjulstolen til morgenmadsområdet."

"Efter en lang rejse i Grækenland kan vi sige, at det var den bedste indkvartering af den type, vi har oplevet.Vi var der kun i tre nætter, og det var glad. Det var usædvanligt, men usædvanligt, hvad angår bygning og koncept, og vores suite havde absolut fantastisk udsigt til Samos, Fournoi og Patmos.Poolen var en velkomst og en fremragende bonus.Vores morgenmad var fremragende.Dusøren havde et godt pres.Wi-Fi godt. Værelset havde en fan og aircon.Værelset var smukt klædt.Og det ville være forkert ikke at kommentere den varme, velkommen og mest fremragende bidrag fra Eri den komplekse ‘leder’, der simpelthen ikke kunne have været mere generøs med hendes tid og hjælpsom. Der er intet at forkaste om denne indkvartering. Men “byen” er en fair måde “op” og mens den er gåbar ned til Agios og tilbage (vi gjorde det to gange på en dag) det er en kamp. Jeg vil bestemt ikke lægge tasker der op, og det er ikke for dem med mobilitet.Og prøv det ikke i høje hæle! Taxi kan bookes (5 euro en vej) til/fra Agios og havnen, men de er svære at komme om natten, så hvis du går ned om aftenen, er du klar til at kæmpe tilbage. Men mad kan nemt bestilles (fra 3+ restauranter i. Agios) og vil blive leveret til din indkvarterings dør.Ikarian vin, Ikarian øl og flaskevand kan købes fra receptionen.Hvis du bliver i nogen tid, har du sandsynligvis brug for en bil."

"Jeg havde en vidunderlig ophold på Anthemis Hotel i Ikaria.Værelserne var komfortabele og velbevarede, som tilføjede til den samlede afslappende oplevelse. Hotellets bedste beliggenhed, kun 100 meter fra stranden og termiske forår, og 200 meter fra restauranter og barer, gjorde det utroligt bekvemt.Patio og bar var også store steder at slappe af. Jeg anbefaler det meget for enhver, der leder efter en fredelig og behagelig ophold i Ikaria."
