"Recently stayed in the Black Forest Hinterzarten Hotel Schwarzwaldhof, this hotel is simply a paradise for hiking lovers! The location is excellent, just next to the train station, close to the Black Forest Trail, you can explore Ravenna Gorge or Panoramaweg on foot. After a day of hiking, it is the ultimate relaxation. The room is spacious and comfortable, the equipment is perfect, I feel that the hotel is very careful in every detail, I see that they will change the flowers in the corridor every day, very thoughtful. The breakfast is rich and invincible, fresh bread, local sausage, cheese, fruit and hot eggs are all available, and a small presentation will be placed on the table, reporting the weather of the day, nearby attractions, hiking suggestions, etc., very attentive; Dinner is equally delicious, with a special four-course menu every night, comfortable and elegant environment, not only enjoying their thoughts on each food, but also every corner of the environment. Overall, this is the best mountain option for Black Forest travel, making the trip even more impressive. Highly recommended to friends who love nature and food, will come again next time."

"Vi var på vej med vores to børn, og hotelpersonalet kunne ikke have været mere foretrukne. Siden vi ankom, har de gjort alt for at få os til at føle os godt. Receptionen overrasker vores børn endda med små velkomstposer fulde af legetøj, hvilket var en dejlig gest. De har altid kigget på os og spurgt, om vi har brug for ekstra håndklæder eller om børnene vil have varm chokolade. Det føltes som om det var vigtigt for dem, at vores familie føler sig hjemme."

"This is a very laid back and comfortable hotel. The room I had was spotlessly clean and had everything I needed. We had a vegetarian meal in the evening which, tasty and good value. Some of the veg grown in the garden. Breakfast was fresh and really appetisingly presented. There is not a bar but there is an “honesty” fridge which contained wine, beer and soft drinks. NB room to be paid for in cash. Host was helpful and clearly proud of his hotel."

"The hotel is very noisy; deliveries start arriving at 6 AM. The rooms facing the street are loud until late in the evening because guests and passersby often have loud conversations on the street. It's impossible to sleep with the window open because the noise echoes in front of the hotel. The carpet is very worn out, and the whole hotel smells strongly of smoke, food, and a general lack of ventilation. We also had a thick shag carpet in our room, the same as in the breakfast room! This is truly unacceptable in a hotel room because it's impossible to keep it properly clean. The management is very unfriendly, which unfortunately affects some of the other staff as well. We were very glad to leave the hotel and would not return under any circumstances. We travel a lot and enjoy it, but this hotel is not one we can recommend."

"About a 12min walk to the train station. Cute little town! Gave it 4 stars because the bed’s mattress was very flat & it was almost like sleeping on a sofa bed - pretty uncomfortable. But the room was really cute, very clean. There was cheese, cold cuts, yogurt & a very tasty bread for breakfast. A few veggies, too. We arrived around 4p & the door to the hotel was locked - almost looked as if no one was there! Rang the doorbell twice & the manager guy came to open it. Overall a good 1 night stay for the Christmas market, which was amazing!! There’s another hotel that’s pretty close to the train station, too. I would’ve preferred to stay closer, actually. There was GlüHwein (for $2.50 euros) & other small wine bottles/ drinks - on the honor system."
