"Amazing accommodation with secure parking for our hire car. We stayed in the Superior Suite with sea view. Really spacious and comfortable with everything we could possibly need. We loved the balcony, directly on the sea front with beautiful views. The breakfasts were delicious and the staff so friendly and helpful. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance. This suited us in the evenings, no need to drive into Hermanus. The coastal walk from the property to Hermanus is fabulous. We also drove to Cape Agulhas lighthouse and the Southern Tip of Africa, a brilliant day trip. We would happily have stayed longer at this beautiful accommodation and highly recommend. Thank you Sophia and all the staff for a wonderful stay."

"We had a wonderful seven night stay in this upmarket boutique hotel with just 17 rooms. Room 8 on the first floor of the forward building had spectacular sea views and would be amazing in whale season. The room was simply furnished with a lovely sea view balcony where we spent many an hour. Bathroom was OK but only a shower which could do with updating. Breakfast is a mix of a small buffet and freshly cooked items and was perfect. Parking is very secure and the staff, led by Ruben Pullyn, were extremely hospitable. It is a short and pleasant stroll to the town centre. We will certainly be back."

"We had a wonderful stay at Hermanus Lodge on the Green and can highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hermanus. From the moment we arrived, we received a very warm and personal welcome. The host took the time to explain everything clearly and made us feel at home straight away. Our room was immaculate, spacious, and exceptionally well equipped. We especially appreciated the thoughtful extras such as complimentary bottled water, a small carafe of port wine, and comfortable bathrobes. These little touches made our stay feel truly special. The breakfast was outstanding. Guests can choose from an à la carte menu while also enjoying a small breakfast buffet with a variety of additional options. Everything was fresh, well presented, and delicious. Another feature we really liked was the honesty bar system. Guests can help themselves to drinks at any time, simply record what they have taken and settle the bill at check-out. It creates a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The secure gated parking area was also a great advantage and gave us complete peace of mind. Hermanus Lodge on the Green combines comfort, hospitality and attention to detail in a way that is increasingly rare to find. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return in the future. Highly recommended!"

"Our family of four had an absolutely fantastic stay at Hermanus Boutique Guest House. From the moment we arrived, we were given a warm welcome that made us feel instantly at home. The location is perfect — right opposite the sea and the stunning cliff walk, making it perfect for relaxing strolls and wonderful ocean views. The staff were consistently pleasant and professional, always going out of their way to ensure our comfort. Our family room was spacious, well appointed with, amongst other things, air conditioning if required and a spa bath, and provided exactly what was needed after a day of exploring. We especially enjoyed the daily happy hour, which was a lovely touch and a perfect way to unwind in the comfortable lounge or dining area. Breakfasts were a highlight of our stay — an excellent selection of fresh fruit salad, delicious pastries, and a full cooked breakfast to get the day off in the right way. We also appreciated the flexibility of being able to come and go as we pleased, knowing that nothing was ever too much trouble for the team. We highly recommend Hermanus Boutique Guest House to couples, families, and groups looking for a comfortable, well-located, and welcoming place to stay while exploring all that Hermanus has to offer. "The hotel itself is absolutely stunning, beautifully designed, and we truly loved our stay. The atmosphere, rooms, and overall aesthetic are exceptional, and in many ways the experience was very enjoyable. However, we were disappointed and surprised by the policy requiring guests to leave the lobby and public areas immediately after check-out, with the mention of an additional fee otherwise. This felt a bit strict and unexpected and slightly took away from the otherwise warm experience. Unfortunately, the interaction with the manager (who worked in the morning 27.01.26) in this situation felt uncomfortable and poorly handled. Also, our car was well parked in front of the hotel in a shadow, we asked to keep it there for another hour — the manager agreed but asked us to move the car, so we ended up leaving a car under a strong sun, and when we came back we realized that there was no guests in the hotel, who would occupy the space, and the shadow area was free and empty. Unfortunately, the manager didn’t let us keep the luggage inside the hotel so we had to leave it in the car under the sun, including all the food we had. This felt quite unreasonable and unwelcoming, especially for a hotel of this level. Despite this, the hotel is beautiful and the stay was overall a good experience."
