Det er en bustur fra byens centrum og togstationen, men busserne er sjældne.Ubehagelig gåtur.Sceneriet var smukt, jeg fik billeder, jeg skrev på mit Instagram.Jeg kunne ikke se en salgsmaskine."

"I was cycling The John Muir Way on my folding bicycle. Needed to cycle 52 miles to Falkirk on my first day so an early start was required. Booked into the Travelodge at Helensburgh. The start of the John Muir Way is on the sea front next to ferry terminal in Helensburgh's town centre. The hotel was on the sea front and was close to the start of the John Muir Way. Set off at 07:00 AM and arrived in Falkirk at 19:00. The hotel was clean, quiet and ajoined a high class resturant.The receptionist was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Can't remember her name but it Kia comes to mind. After an excellent meal went to bed early. After a good nights sleep set off for Falkirk. This hotel excellent choice for those walking or cycling the John Muir Way"

"We had a wonderful stay at Sugar Boat. We stayed in room 4, it was so well appointed and restful. Even plenty of space when we unexpectedly had to have our son stay for 2 of the 3 nights; all staff were helpful and obliging in this situation, and the additional family rate very reasonable. Breakfasts and dinners were a delight. It was fun to be able to see the chefs at work, and the kitchen shop a little treasure trove of joy...I'm just gutted we live too far away to eat there more! We will be recommending both restaurant and hotel to friends and family. All staff were friendly, pleasant and helpful, from housekeeping to front of house. We hope to come back sometime.
