"I bought my grandparents an afternoon tea treat here for Christmas & we only got around to organising it in May, but it was worth the wait!! This beautiful establishment is so unique & has a real homely feel to it. The views are gorgeous & our experience was really memorable. We were greeted by our host (I think it was Ryan) who was exceptional at his job & extremely welcoming & friendly. We were amazed to learn that is just the two of them which run the entire B&B & home make all their afternoon tea selection. It was absolutely delicious !!! I personally even enjoyed things that I wouldn’t usually entertain, such as the quiche as it was so tasty! The jam is also homemade from the fruit in the garden & it is the best jam I have had in a long time! It is such good value for money, with Ryan (at the time) being a one man band serving & cooking for us, & all freshly made produce from the house grounds. I would highly recommend anyone to come & take a visit. We were all extremely impressed, you can really see the dedication & love that goes into this place. Thank you for having us, it was a pleasure!!"

"Arrived late at night and was welcomed to a friendly member of staff. Shown to room and asked if having breakfast next day. Room was well equipped, maybe have some hangers in the wardrobe, beds super comfy and breakfast just what was needed. Staff so nice. Would definitely go back as near RAF base."

"Beliggenheden er perfekt.Der blev tilbudt alternativ parkering, hvis det var nødvendigt, hvilket ikke var som vi parkerede foran The George. Værelset var rummeligt (vi var i nummer 10) med et siddende område og skrivebord for dem, der har brug for at gøre arbejde ... sengen var meget behagelig. Restauranten var top fløde ... Vi bestilte Steak og Ale Pie, som var lækker og Fish and Chips (anmodes dem om at forlade de friske/mushy pærer) ... fisken var enorm, frisk og meget smagfuld ... frisk og smagfuld fløde/chips var hjemmelavet. Vi vil i det hele taget anbefale George."

"We stayed in the self-catering apartment. It was clean, spacious, and a pleasant space. Two big bedrooms, kitchen with dining table, big shower room and toilet and a nice living room. Lovely quite location, not far out of York. We were made very welcome. Will be staying again in the future."

"Just come back from 2 night stay at the Buck Inn and I have to say that we were so so thrilled with this place. We were made to feel very welcome! The service from Vicki and the other staff was brilliant! The rooms are fantastic, room 6 was excellent. The mattresses are the most comfy mattresses that I have ever slept on! Great power shower!! Lovely choices for breakfast and cooked to perfection! We had dinner on the first night which was excellent; the pizzas are delicious! Ample parking, 20 minute taxi to Ripon for the races, cricket ground. Absolutely brilliant and we look forward to returning!"
