Igen til middag havde de intet at lave mad og rådede os til at prøve restauranten på den anden side af vejen, som vi gjorde, da der ikke er mange spisesteder i nærheden.Den bedste tid, vi brugte, var i poolen, der var varmt og havde fantastiske udsigter. "I would advise anyone planning to book this hotel to think carefully. Although it is advertised as a five-star hotel, the customer service and the way our reservation was handled were extremely disappointing. We originally booked two double rooms for 27, 28 and 29 June. We paid the full amount of LKR 360,000 through Boundless Travel Company for a two-night stay on a full-board basis. Unfortunately, my mother accidentally injured her leg, so we were unable to stay on the original dates. As the full payment had already been made, we contacted the hotel, explained the situation and requested a change of dates. We were initially told that we could reschedule our stay within one month. We then requested 25, 26 and 27 July. The hotel first agreed to these dates but later changed its decision. We were told that a foreign wedding would be held at the hotel during those dates and that they could no longer accommodate us. The hotel then asked us to choose another date, so we proposed 15, 16 and 17 August. However, those dates were also rejected because the hotel claimed that it was the peak season. Later, the hotel asked us to provide a medical certificate for my mother’s injury. They then said that because we had not submitted the medical certificate within one week, they could not accommodate us. However, this one-week deadline was never clearly communicated to us when we first requested the postponement. If this was an important condition, it should have been clearly explained from the beginning—not introduced later after the hotel had already accepted our full payment and asked us to select alternative dates. For clarity, we have no complaint against Boundless Travel Company. The company was only involved in arranging the booking and processing our payment. We are confident that the problem lies with the hotel and the way it handled our request. We are mentioning this clearly because we do not want the hotel to avoid responsibility or attempt to place the blame on the travel company. Despite paying LKR 360,000 in full, we were neither given the accommodation we paid for nor offered a fair and consistent opportunity to reschedule. The hotel repeatedly changed its response, rejected the alternative dates we proposed and introduced new conditions that had not been clearly explained earlier. This is not the level of customer service or professionalism expected from a hotel advertised as a five-star establishment. We are simply asking the hotel either to honour our fully paid reservation on a mutually acceptable date without introducing further unreasonable conditions or to provide a full refund of LKR 360,000."

"Ravana Garden was a haven for our 7 day stay. It's right on the beach with a calm atmosphere, at a 100m walking distance to a natural pool (with less dangerous waves), meals with locally-sourced ingredients and surrounded by a lot of nature. Also there are many activities that are arranged by them through Whatsapp. We felt entirely at peace and taken care of at this resort. Another main highlight was the sustainability that people really come here for. Ravana Garden has won many awards for their practices including the compost, usage of solar power, locally sourced ingredients, self-manufactured spices etc. No TV in the room, but we never felt the need for it. Open bathrooms, well designed spacious rooms, comfortable king beds, such varied and delicious food! In April, it was quite warm outside, but in the common area there is a nice flow of breeze and fans that do a decent job of keeping you cool. The room had an AC & a fan to cool us down."

"It has the standard and amenities of a typical star-rated hotel, but it's probably the newest and most modern hotel in Sri Lanka! If you're visiting Yala, you don't necessarily have to choose this hotel. If you're not picky about the age of a hotel, I think there are several other good hotels nearby! The main issue is that staying here for over 10,000 RMB for three days and two nights really doesn't feel worthwhile! Everyone at the hotel is trying their best to provide service, but it's really disappointing. Perhaps due to a small staff and a difference in mindset, the efficiency is just too slow."

This place is beautiful, remote, charming and the service is impeccable. Fareese and NiLanka in particular looked after us incredibly well. We booked last minute as we wanted to get out of the rainy jungle and into the sunny beachside! We hadn’t heard of Serendivi but found it via Agoda and were blown away on arrival - our very own secluded beach on the Indian Ocean! Only 6 guest rooms in the hotel so we felt like we had the place to ourselves! The staff cooked us meals as desired. Every room has WiFi and top-class bathroom facilities. We definitely recommend visiting the Serendivi Resort when in Sri Lanka and looking for a few quiet days by the ocean!"

"Minimalistic hotel rooms well located off Silent Beach in Tangalle. Nice communal pool and a small amount of rooms makes the villa quite tranquil and never busy. The staff are wonderful and the chef cooks delicious food which is all very reasonably priced. I just recommend you stay away from beef in this country as it’s quite inedible, this seems a common theme whether you’re buying a cheap burger or an expensive beef dish. The only detractions to the accomodation was a foul odour emanating from the shower in the mornings, but it did dissipate thereafter. Also I find there is little point of an in-room safe if it isn’t bolted to the ground. You can literally walk in and pick the safe up and exit the room making it redundant. Rooms are well appointed and well priced for the area given the two luxury alternatives are the Amanwella resort which is quite dated and much more expensive and the Anantara Peace Haven which is more expensive but also a fantastic product. The local beach here is beautiful. I would stay here again, but I expect rooms will be hard to come by as the country lacks 5 star resorts at this time. I would stay here again no doubt and recommend the property."
