"Out of the 5 days I spent in Sri Lanka, this hotel was by far my favorite and the most satisfying! It's located right next to Yala National Park, sharing the same grounds as the Hilton resort, so you'll spot various animals quite often. We stayed in a jungle chalet, and it was incredibly clean! Both the AC and fan were very quiet. Every staff member was so nice and friendly. We were able to pre-order breakfast boxes for our early morning safari, and on our departure day, since we were leaving too early for lunch (we had booked a full-board package), they even prepared lunch boxes for us to take on the road. The service was absolutely excellent! And the value for money is fantastic!! Highly, highly recommended!"

"Sri Lanka Anantara Holiday Hotel: Healing Paradise on the Indian Ocean Anantara var helt sikkert den mest overraskende overraskelse på rejsen til Sri Lanka, kaldet "ferie" . "Resort was absolutely perfect!! Room was clean & spacious. What’s most amazing is the resort surroundings that were very tranquil and with many scenic views - especially along the lake that you can see the sunrise. Restaurants around were also fantastic - we tried all 3 and liked all the food. Breakfast buffet spread was also good. Highly recommend anyone who is finding accommodation in Yala area - can’t recommend it enough, especially for this price!"

"This hotel was part of our tour group booking, and it's popular with Western tourists. The room was reasonably clean and tidy. There's no elevator, but the staff were helpful with luggage. The swimming pool was decent, though it got a bit chilly in the evening. The price, which included breakfast and dinner, was quite good. Drinks at dinner cost extra, but the buffet food was pretty good."

"Ravana Garden was a haven for our 7 day stay. It's right on the beach with a calm atmosphere, at a 100m walking distance to a natural pool (with less dangerous waves), meals with locally-sourced ingredients and surrounded by a lot of nature. Also there are many activities that are arranged by them through Whatsapp. We felt entirely at peace and taken care of at this resort. Another main highlight was the sustainability that people really come here for. Ravana Garden has won many awards for their practices including the compost, usage of solar power, locally sourced ingredients, self-manufactured spices etc. No TV in the room, but we never felt the need for it. Open bathrooms, well designed spacious rooms, comfortable king beds, such varied and delicious food! In April, it was quite warm outside, but in the common area there is a nice flow of breeze and fans that do a decent job of keeping you cool. The room had an AC & a fan to cool us down."

"Lovely hotel. Stayed here for just one night so we could do the yala safari the following morning. Staff very welcoming and even layed out a special table arrangement for our dinner as it was our honeymoon. Breakfast was boxed and arranged ready for our trip to the safari. "We spent three nights here, and it was an absolute dream. Every single member of the staff was exceptionally warm, welcoming, and helpful. They contributed enormously to our positive experience. We were looked after with great care, and every wish was fulfilled with genuine attentiveness and kindness. The food was spectacular—truly at an outstanding level. We have not eaten better anywhere else. Chef Danushka is a true master of his craft, and every dish reflected his talent and passion. The hotel also provided us with an excellent guide who was extremely knowledgeable about the area and showed us so many beautiful places. The evening beach tour is highly recommended—it was by far the most beautiful beach I have seen in Sri Lanka. Nestled in the middle of the jungle, the hotel offers the unique opportunity to observe wildlife directly from your room. One morning, the hotel organized a safari for us in Yala National Park, which was absolutely breathtaking. We saw an incredible number of animals, and the driver did a fantastic job, ensuring we had the best possible experience and could see as much as possible. Since we did not want to take our eight-month-old daughter on the safari, Dinithi from the Operations Team lovingly took care of her. We were so grateful. She did a wonderful job—our daughter adored her and always lit up with a big smile whenever she saw her. This stay was truly unforgettable, and we cannot recommend this place highly enough."
Ziba Luxury Villa
"Minimalistic hotel rooms well located off Silent Beach in Tangalle. Nice communal pool and a small amount of rooms makes the villa quite tranquil and never busy. The staff are wonderful and the chef cooks delicious food which is all very reasonably priced. I just recommend you stay away from beef in this country as it’s quite inedible, this seems a common theme whether you’re buying a cheap burger or an expensive beef dish. The only detractions to the accomodation was a foul odour emanating from the shower in the mornings, but it did dissipate thereafter. Also I find there is little point of an in-room safe if it isn’t bolted to the ground. You can literally walk in and pick the safe up and exit the room making it redundant. Rooms are well appointed and well priced for the area given the two luxury alternatives are the Amanwella resort which is quite dated and much more expensive and the Anantara Peace Haven which is more expensive but also a fantastic product. The local beach here is beautiful. I would stay here again, but I expect rooms will be hard to come by as the country lacks 5 star resorts at this time. I would stay here again no doubt and recommend the property."

"We had a very nice stay at Villa Blu, we got an upgrade. Our room was excellent, the food was excellent and the poeple are very friendly. The Coffee is very good. Specially made,every cup. The fruit, breakfast. Everything. The swimming pool is nice when the ocean is to rough to swim. We were there at the and of the season,so then a pool is very nice after a rough walk along the sea. Our last dinner was very special,in the garden,by candellight and music as well. We feel gratefull!"

"Wonderful lunch , great SL hospitality. Our tour group stopped at this boutique resort for lunch. It was a friendly resort. The rooms ware well appointed. We watched birds, monitors, and even a snake , while resting in the shade listening to a local band playing music. Lunch was crayfish, prawns bbq fish - all delicious. While this resort is off the beaten track , it is a restful place to escape to for a few days."
