"A wonderful boutique hotel in a quiet location, yet within walking distance of the historic center and train station. Freshly renovated, the rooms are clean and modernly designed. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff at reception and in the restaurant at breakfast were friendly and helpful. "We had a great 3 night stay at hotel 1635. We stayed in room 206, with huge windows facing the street and an exposed attic which added so much character to the room. The room was huge which was a welcome change compared to most European rooms. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was also spacious and clean. But perhaps the thing that stood out the most was the hotel staff, especially, Lisa who was very accommodating. She took the time to explain the hotel’s history while checking us in and also showed us to our room and pointed out details such as how to work the lights, room temperature etc. The staff was also very responsive, and messaging through WhatsApp made it very convenient. Please note that this hotel is in a historical building, as such, they have very narrow stairs and hallways which makes it a challenge for people with mobility problems. They do have a small lift, however, wide wheelchairs will not fit in it. The hotel is just around the corner from a shopping district, bars and restaurants. Thank you for a wonderful stay."

"We loved this quirky little hotel. It smells gorgeous when you walk in the door and the decor is sumptuous and stylish. The staff are lovely and helpful. The hotel is two minutes walk from the train station and about a ten minute walk to the Grote Markt area. Our room was lovely - we appreciated the extra touches that made it feel like a treat to stay here. Breakfast was bijou but very lovely and had we wanted to we could have ordered omelette/eggs in addition to what was on offer. All in all a lovely base for exploring the area."

"We had a wonderful stay at this boutique hotel. The service was outstanding, with genuine attention to every guest. It’s located on a quiet street right in the centre of Haarlem, and the rooms at the back are completely peaceful. The room was beautiful, comfortable, and spotlessly clean, with a spacious bathroom.
