Rooms are comfortable with good quality bathroom toiletries, and comfortable beds either single or double as required. Good working air conditioning too throughout the hotel, together with the Wi-Fi. Cozy small lounge just inside the reception area with excellent furnishings. Christophe and Tomas ensure that nothing is too much trouble for whatever you require at the hotel, or either at breakfast or dinner, which are both first-class. Safe and ample parking, which is a priority for us on a travelling holiday. For me, the ashtrays on nearly every table outside should be more in the background in their beautiful garden. Although our first stay at The Bastide but not to Grignan, which is a lovely characterful small town about 20 mins walk away depending on your fitness/weather, we are intending to return next year, and look forward to enjoying Christophe's and Tomas's untiring hospitality. We wish them continued success. "

"The hotel is in a perfect location at the heart of the village, with parking; ask for directions for best way to access the hotel and avoid very narrow roads - arrival may be tricky. We stayed several nights in the "Jaune" room on the 2nd floor (3rd level for US); no elevator. The bedroom was spacious with a small charming private patio, with a table and chairs, overlooking tile roofs toward the castle, perfect for morning breakfast; the room has a machine to make coffee and tea. The bathroom was on the small side but convenient and well equipped, including a minibar/refrigerator. Caution! there is a step down between the bedroom and the bathroom not obvious to see the first time - could be better marked. To our surprise, the content of the minibar was included in the cost of our room, including a bottle of champagne, beers, water etc. A new bottle of water was offered every day, which was well appreciated during the June heat wave. Wished the refrigerator was a little colder. We would definitely go back to this hotel."

"Jeg sætter en stjerne, fordi min mand ikke har brudt en tand, fordi der var et glas i hans kornkugle, og at der ikke blev foretaget nogen kommerciel gestus, der blev taget til at sikre opfølgning, hvis nogensinde omkostningerne er opstået hos tandlægen efter denne ulykke. Ellers var værelse 3 top med stort badeværelse og bruser. Lægen lidt fast, men komfortabel. Det meget charmerende sted."

"A lovely 4 night stay. Excellent hosts Tomas, Christophe and their friend Chantale made us very welcome. Bedroom warm and bed, bedding, towels and shower all top class. Breakfast a great selection and dinner high quality. Would like to stay again when weather better to enjoy the refurbished outside areas and the pool, and dine on the terrace under the trees. Many lovely towns and villages to visit within 30 minutes including Grignan on the doorstep and all in lovely countryside."

"Unfriendly hostess. Lamentable breakfast (day-old bread, slices of industrial brioche and questionable fruit juice, only the jams were good). Outdated room (tiled floor, tiny bathroom, shower with no pressure). I was cold when I unfolded the blanket; it had certainly never been washed. A shame because it is a very pretty building outside Grignan with a lot of untapped potential."

"Jeg tog med min kollega til Grignan for at besøge Madame Sevignés datters slot, markeret af Grignan. Ud over slottet og landsbyen, som man absolut skal have set en gang i sit liv, er hotellet charmerende og smukt. Værelserne i en gammel sten bygning, er meget godt indrettet og udstillet. Det er ideelt placeret at besøge slottet og gå rundt i landsbyen. Jeg anbefaler et skridt i Drôme Provençale, som er en vidunderlig region."
