"We have been going to the Carcarille for almost 30 years. It is a wonderful family run hotel that has been beautifully renovated in recent years. Brothers Dominique and Christophe are a great team who make you feel at home. The food is fantastic, giving guests the ability to experience gourmet French food in a beautiful setting. An added bonus is that the hotel is perfectly located to explore the Luberon region."

"What you can expect here: 1) spectacular view from the outdoor seating area where breakfast, drinks or snacks served. You can enjoy the area anytime. 2) nice sized pool with a number of umbrellas and loungers. 3) delightful breakfast with assortments of fruit, plain yogurt, meat, cheese, pastries, coffees, cappuccino all served to you. 4) easy parking 5) convenient healthy walk to town. You have to walk a bit downhill and then uphill to town, not bad, but it is worth noting 6) our room had an extremely large bathroom, good size room, but no view. The outdoor shared spaces made up for that though. Room is very basic, as you would expect for a 3 star. 7) friendly, helpful staff. 8) exceeded my expectations for a 3 star hotel. Very nice. Happy with our choice!"

"I have this theory when traveling. You should stay in a hotel or B&B that totally represents where you are at that moment. I have spent my fair share of time traveling for business and while Hiltons and Marriotts are fine for that, there is nothing special that connects you to where you are. Domaine completely connects you to Provence. If you had to draw up the perfect hotel to spend time near Gordes, this would be the hotel. The attention to detail is extraordinary. David and Regis both are dedicated to making your time there memorable. Neither of them really had much experience running a small boutique hotel and I find it remarkable that they could put this together in the way that they have. Every minute that you are there is a reminder that you are in Provence. What a terrific small hotel."

"Great location and really great staff – thank you, Rodrigo! The management here is absolutely perfect. The location itself is simply amazing. You just have to be aware that some of the interior decor and furniture could use an update in the near future, but if you accept that, you will have a wonderful stay.What makes this place so special is the peaceful atmosphere. Because it is a non-smoking location, pets are not allowed, and there are no activities or facilities for teenagers, families, or babies, it remains incredibly quiet. Your neighbors are almost exclusively couples and calm, older people who truly appreciate and value this peaceful ambiance.You don't need Wi-Fi, ball games, or music at the pool here. On the contrary, everything is quiet and relaxed without needing any loud entertainment. Additionally, the bread delivery service is excellent.You should only book this place if you are looking for this specific atmosphere, respect it, and feel that you fit into this."

"Vi tilbragte en lang weekend i Gordes og elskede det helt!Beliggenheden var perfekt lige uden for landsbyen, hvilket gjorde det fredeligt, mens det stadig var tæt nok til at gå eller køre i let.Hotellet selv var vidunderligt. Vores værelse havde en lille terrasse med fantastisk udsigt, og vi elskede at sidde der for at tage det hele ind.Personalet var så venligt og hjælpsomt, og morgenmad var virkelig god. Selv i oktober kunne vi svømme i den opvarmede udendørs pool, som var en sådan behandling.Alt var bare perfekt vi kan ikke vente på at komme tilbage!"

"Such a charming family-owned restaurant and hotel! I went with a hiking group and Domenic was such a gracious host. He helped us arrange a tour and tasting at a local olive farm where we learned all about growing and processing olives in Provence. He entertained us with a wine tasting at the hotel, and helped arrange transportation when needed. The food was amazing! I’m a vegetarian and the chef really made an effort to make delicious and unique meals for vegetarians every night - which was not my experience at all the hotels we stayed at. The desserts were decadent! I would highly recommend this hotel for a real Provence experience!"

"Le Jas de Gordes is a beautiful property tucked in near Gordes. While we enjoyed our stay, it wasn't what we considered four star quality. The wifi did not work for two of our three nights. The T.V. did not work. The A.C. did not work. Some of the towels in our bathroom were damp upon arrival. Pool is beautiful, but smells like car exhaust from proximity to road. The property itself is quite beautiful, the rooms were underwhelming. If I were to donut again, I would book a room in Avignon and drive into Gordes for a day trip. For the price point we were underwhelmed and frustrated with the amenities that did not work during our stay."

"David and Régis have created a real gem in Gordes. The property is lovingly furnished and in outstanding condition. Each suite is unique and furnished with great attention to detail. The two owners, along with their staff, are incredibly friendly and always willing to help. Breakfast is a real highlight and is freshly prepared every day. The fantastic garden and lovely pool are also worth mentioning. A boules court and a fire pit invite you to linger if you fancy spending a quiet day on the grounds. There’s also sports equipment and a cosy communal area to relax in. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy peace and style whilst exploring Provence, you’ll find it here. Many thanks to David and Régis, and see you again very soon – we’re already looking forward to our next visit!"
