"Do not worry about anything! Maradona will take care of it (hotel owner) 1. Picked me up from the bus stop for free and proactively 2. Dropped me to the Old town and picked me up from Old town at night in a very short notice for free 3. Dropped me at the Castle (for free of course :)) 4. Told me the location where I should eat and no wonder it was the best rated place to eat on TripAdvisor 5. Everyone knows Maradona in Gjirokaster 6. Maradona and his family manages the hotel and they are all lovely 7. Helped me reach the bus stop to catch the bus to Tirana Which hotel does all this for their guest? Breakfast: You will love it. Location: 15 minutes walk to the old town, but you wont have to walk as Maradona will drop you and pick you up Room was big and comfortable. I slept like a baby."

"We had an excellent stay at Bora Hotel in Gjirokastër. The hotel is modern, very clean, and comfortable. The staff were friendly and always ready to help. The location is very convenient, only about 10 minutes from the Old Bazaar, making it easy to explore the city. The hotel also has its own restaurant, which is very convenient for guests and electric vehicle charging facilities, which was a big plus for us. We highly recommend Bora Hotel to anyone visiting Gjirokastër and would gladly stay here again."

"1. The room itself. None of the facilities were present, such as a safe, kettle, no ceiling or room lighting, etc. 1 bedside lamp for 3 beds, no other light in the room. Wardrobes cannot be opened because they stand in front of the bed. 2. The room was not cleaned. Paper is not allowed to be flushed, causing dirty toilet paper to lie in the open air for 36 hours. This was supposedly the customer's fault because it had not been requested. The receptionist became rude when I mentioned this. 3. Endless wait for breakfast. 4. A discount was supposed to be given. I haven't heard anything since. 5. No seating on the balcony. 6. This is not a 4-star hotel; it barely reaches 1 star. 7. The staff clearly have no experience running a hotel. Employees shift responsibilities onto each other. They refer to an absent manager, who, after a few hours, turns out not to speak English. 8. No shower curtain, causing the bathroom to flood. 9. Beds with pillows by the pool are dirty. 10. Very poor WiFi."

The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, always making sure I had everything I needed. Breakfast was generous and delicious, with a great variety of local flavors to start the day. If you’re visiting Gjirokastër and looking for a place that offers both authenticity and comfort, I highly recommend Argjiro Hotel."
