Parador de Gijon

"Det er et meget stille og afslappende Parador hotel. Møblerne i den offentlige zone er gode, personalet er meget venligt.Værelset er meget rent, og babyen kan være roligt og højt. Parkeringspladsen er gratis, det er også godt.Men den er ikke stor, den er snart fuld.Jeg ser nogle mennesker støde på problemer, fordi de kører med elektriske biler, men laderne har ingen ledige pladser."

"We stayed at this hotel for the weekend during the Cometcon in Gijón, and it will definitely be a contender in the future! Arrival at reception was lovely. The lady there helped us with all of our requests, and was so kind and helpful. Check-out went similarly, including holding our suitcases for the afternoon. They were also very helpful every time we needed a taxi, and were happy to call one for us. The room was also lovely, with a window overlooking the street, that I was surprised at how quiet it was, considering it's central location. The bed was super comfortable, although I would have liked some firmer pillows. Breakfast was included, and it can be eaten at the cafe, or brought up to your room. We did both. My friend would go down and eat his there, and bring mine up for when I lazily decided to get up. There were bookshelves in the hallways leading to our room, with an amazing variety of fiction and non-fiction. What really stood out to me is how PRETTY this hotel was. All the decor was in such good taste! Also, this is a pet friendly hotel, so I met a LOT of very gud bois during my stay there."

La Casona de Jovellanos

"Stopped here as there was s big crowd eating everytime we went past. Tourist food- local delicacy Cachopo de Ternera and local Sidra (cider) It was OK - chorrizo in cider to start and then Cachopo flattened piece of veal with cheese in the middle and breadcrumbed and fried. It was OK, tick we've had one would we have another? No! Sidre flat cider slightly acidic and you pour via split Cork to aerate. See previous comment. Done it thanks"

Hotel Alda Centro Gijón

"The hotel is well-located, clean, and offers acceptable value for money. Negative points include: - It took almost an hour to park as there were no options near the hotel and no parking facilities. - Check-in at 8:00 PM is done via a screen, which is neither convenient nor professional. - You can hear everything that happens in the rooms next door. - When booking through a Smartbox, it shows "Double room reservation with buffet breakfast," which is inaccurate as it is not a buffet."
