Icarus Hotel

"No one tells you this - but Icarus Suite Apartments are part of 3 different hotel group - transport had us under different name and dropped us nearby. It has caused me some stress trying to figure out where we are in fact meant to go. Then, we have been put in the older part of the hotel, under a different name (Lefkoniko Beach Hotel), which was lower standard than advertised. Bathroom was really dark, with one light only, and shower was so tiny that you ended up flooding the floor each time because you moved. I'm pretty sure there have been either bed bugs or flees in the room, I've been bitten so much. Definitely not mosquitos, as I had wall plugin for it and sprayed myself with jungle formula each night to the point of being sticky. Hotel food was also definitely very basic, little to no Greek food that I was hoping for. Return pick up was stressfull again because we had no clue which of the 3 hotels we will be picked up from. Ended up being strategically placed with my mum and then told off by the driver for not being at the right place! Only good thing was the location! Overall, I had better hopes."

Sevach Apartments

"Once again we stayed at Sevach and as usual never disappointed. Spotless rooms and great food terrace to watch the sunset. So friendly and helpful, from arranging car hire to recommendations on places and restaurants to visit. The lovely Kalamaki beach a few yards away,whats not to like. Highly recommend this hotel you will not be disappointed"

S&K Villas

"Cannot speak more highly of S&K Villas and the 5 star treatment. We were a group of 10+ friends and were welcomed by Stavros who also organised a taxi from the airport. Every detail in both villas were amazing, a welcome hamper and supplies in the fridge amongst so many other things. The spaces in the villas were amazing, we were able to cook in both villas and come together to eat. There were lots of towels to enjoy the pool and some amazing suggestions for activities and restaurants. Stavros and the villa was amazing, thank you!"

Kalamaki Luxury Suites

"The apartment was stunning along with the view. We stayed in the Luxury Suite with panoramic view and hot tub. The hotel only has 6 rooms and is family run. The hotel has an adjoining family run beach restaurant. We ate there most mornings for breakfast and lunch - very nice indeed. The cocktails were delicious too - Strawberry Daquiris and Pina Colada - yummy. The beach was lovely and the sea was gorgeous, free sunbeds if you are staying in the hotel. Chania is a must, its beautiful and lively. Lovely shops, harbour and wonderful food. Bus stop outside hotel. 1.60 euro from Kiosk for the bus and takes 15 - 20 mins. Lots of beach bars if you fancy a walk (in both directions). About an hour walk to Platanias along the beach. But most of all a big thank you to all the staff. Vanessa who greeted us and provided us with information around the island, Alexandra (mum) who is a lovely lady. She bought cakes and took them round to everyone in the restaurant - personal touches mean a lot. The owners and all the restaurant staff welcomed us every day with a smile, they were so polite and genuine lovely people. But a big big thank you to Vaselos (we called him vaseline 😂) who looked after us with drinks, food and reserved 2 sunbeds for us every day. Also he had the best smile. Stephanos and Brother (sorry not sure on name and the spelling) you should be so proud of your staff, they are truly lovely hardworking people. The area is peaceful but still has lots of restaurants and places to visit or just stay on the lovely sandy beach. Thank you - we will be back."
