"There were flies in the room, and I spent the whole night fighting them without success. The breakfast was good, and the hotel is very close to Neuschwanstein Castle with many restaurants nearby. The parking fee wasn't expensive, and the hotel even provided free bus tickets, but the bus was too crowded, so it's better to drive."

The breakfast was great variety but the hot food counter had not been switched on so was all good. This was quickly replaced so no harm done. Will be back again next Chinese new year Local information on the castle times and bus travel were all good and explained. Very happy"

"The view from the hotel is great! I originally thought it was just a B&B, but I didn’t expect it to be a very large hotel on the mountainside! The view is unparalleled! In the morning, you can take pictures of the Alps and lakes on the hotel lawn. Breakfast is very rich! beyond expectation!"

The shower pressure and temperature were not consistent and I had to avoid the cold water in the small shower booth. But there was no problem in the morning shower so I guess it was because of other guests taking shower at the same time. (but, should it?) 3. no fridge"

These issues greatly impacted my stay and I would recommend improvements to enhance guest satisfaction."

Koldt dybde, opvarmet pool, varmt rør og sauna er alle tilgængelige.Der er desuden flere værelser til at slappe af, da du nyder et afslappet miljø. Der er en bar og et opholdsområde i lobbyen, der gør det muligt for dejlige fælles områder at møde dine ledsagere.Jeg ville helt sikkert blive her igen."

"A lovely hotel with great facilities. The staff were welcoming and a special mention for Mohammed behind the bar who was very kind to us when we needed assistance. Breakfast fantastic although there isn’t a toaster (this caused distress to my travel partner!!!!). Reception didn’t always speak good English but that was our problem not theirs. The hotel is about a 25 minute walk to Fussen and taxis are €10 one way - often taking a while to arrive. Also you can’t seem to pre order a taxi - we walked to the train station on our departure rather than risk it with a taxi. Hotel is great for bike hire and boat trips. We received the Fussen card which gives you free bus transport and money off certain attractions, and money off bike hire and boating when booked with the hotel. All in all we would definitely recommend this hotel."

"This hotel is in a beautiful little resort a few kilometres from Fussen and the castles. The hotel overlooks a beautiful lake and although busy in the daytime, quiet at night. The room was very clean, nicely decorated and had one of the biggest baths I've ever used. We paid extra for a lake view. We could see the lake but only from a side view. We ate in the Italian restaurant downstairs. Which did very nice food. The restaurant staff are also the ones who check you in. They are friendly and helpful. My only criticism was we were not told we were going to be charged to park in the garage. It was difficult to park it has about 8 tiny spaces, we didn't bump our car, but I expect many do trying to park here. If we had been told we were paying to use this garage, even though it was only a few euros, we would of chosen to park elsewhere in town. I would recommend this lovely hotel though, good value, in a beautiful location next to the lake. "

"We were staying in Hohenschwangua close to both castles and was told that Schwangau had plenty of restaurants. All looked pretty full so we decided to park the car and walk around the main street to find a restaurant, most places need reservations or were full, one place recommended Helmer Hotel & Restaurant which was just one street off the main road. We were lucky enough they had room. Service was good and the meal was ok. I went for the croquette and schnitzel but found I could taste the oil in both. There was a self serve salad bar which was very good. The location was ideal and the restaurant was nice and cozy. I believe there was a wedding or event going on in one of their banquet rooms. "

Have enjoyed my stay so much again and booked again for next year."
