What really makes the hotel so special, though, is the hard-working, super-friendly staff. There doesn’t seem to be any need or want they have not anticipated or are willing to fulfil. Absolute gem of a place, can’t recommend it warmly enough!"

"We stayed in one of the fisherman cottages on the water. Incredible view and very good location for exploring the area. Flåm was close by to go on the train and fjord cruise. There is a floating sauna on the fjord, which was the best one we saw on our trip. Breakfast was good"

"It is just next to the train station, which allowed me to drop my luggage and be on time for the tour at 2.30pm.  Generally just a normal family room that is suitable for 1 night stay.  I love the breakfast spread, quite unexpected to have a wide selection in this little town.  There is no mini fridge in the room, in case you want to buy dairy products from the supermarket nearby."

"We got a room facing the fjords and the view was chef kiss. The room was comfy, and I personally enjoyed the amenities in the bathroom. Breakfast was nice. We had a succulent dinner at Ægir Microbrewery, and I enjoyed their beer too. They are nice for a wet winter night, and I am sure they will be even better during summer days."

"Situated right on the fjord in the middle of the town of Aurland, this inn couldn't be better. We had two wonderful nights there with a spacious room overlooking the fjord. Bathroom was up to date with a nice shower. The breakfast was served in another quaint older home with a good selection of items. The restaurant and pub opened the second night we were there and we had a delicious meal. The Spar grocery and bakery are close by. The woman at the desk couldn't have been nicer and made sure we had a packed breakfast to take with us when we left early the last morning. We didn't get her name but want to give her a big thank you for the hospitality. It was our favorite place on our trip!"
