"Stylish renovated property with beautifully planted grounds. There are various little seating areas dotted around the property. It really is a very thoughtfully designed hotel. The staff were friendly and professional. The lady organising breakfast, Tonia, was so kind and welcoming. Pros: the stylish design, cleanliness, professional staff, comfortable quiet room, super shower/hammam, delicious breakfast, garden planting, quiet location. Cons: the pool was very cold, no dinner restaurant in the hotel and a trek to find one by car."

Mare Nostrum

"The first thing that struck me (negatively) was the reservation in the name of Hotel Vista mare rather than mare nostum, so much so as to generate confusion. The swimming pool was unusable, the hotel communicated these circumstances to me only two hours before arrival. The hotel was not well-kept, the breakfast was poor, the staff were not attentive and were superficial. It is not clear how it could be a 4 star. Not recommended."

"Dette er et fantastisk hotel i en vidunderlig, rolig beliggenhed.Tjenesten fra alle medarbejdere er fremragende og leveret på en afslappet, venlig måde. Hvis du f.eks. vil justere positionen for din komfortabel solstue, ankommer poolpersonalet straks for at flytte den til dig. Gæsteforholdsholdet arrangerede to guidede turer til os og arrangerede en lejebil i tre dage, så vi kunne køre os til nogle af de smukke "hvide byer" i Valle d'Itria.Intet var for meget problemer. For en særlig ferie vil du ikke blive skuffet - book det!"

Masseria San Francesco

"Masseria San Francesco er et absolut paradis, der giver en uforglemmelig oplevelse.Ejendomen selv er et fantastisk, pristisk sted, hvilket gør vores seks-nat ophold helt magisk. På trods af vores meget begrænsede italienske, var personalet utroligt hjælpsomt, tålmodigt og opmærksomt på vores behov.Vi kan ikke anbefale at blive her højt nok!"

Al Mirador Resort

"I recently stayed at Hotel Almirador for 4 nights. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing and did not match the expectations created by the hotel’s website and promotional photos. The biggest issue was the apparent mismatch between the advertised images and the reality of the hotel. The website presents a vibrant, modern property with attractive facilities, but the actual hotel felt bland, dated, and under-equipped. The pool area and public spaces looked very different from the marketing materials and lacked the atmosphere shown online. Service was also far below expectations. There appeared to be no chef on site and food and drink options were very limited. During the day, there often seemed to be only one member of staff covering service, and there was no visible customer-facing reception or service team available when assistance was needed. One example is when my husband asked for a cold beer there was none in the fridge and we had to walk around the grounds to find someone to ask. Another example is we needed a snack before leaving to go to a wedding, and all they could offer was a bland cheese and ham toastie. The furnishings throughout the public areas were basic and inexpensive, with plastic chairs and low-quality furniture that felt inconsistent with the image the hotel promotes. The lobby, dining areas, and pool surroundings all felt under-resourced and lacked the standard you would expect at this price point. What was particularly disappointing was the lack of interest in guest feedback. Despite having ongoing communication with the hotel via WhatsApp during our stay, when we checked out the bill was simply handed to us without anyone asking about our experience or whether there had been any issues. The one positive aspect was that our room was clean and generally well maintained. However, this was not enough to compensate for the shortcomings elsewhere in the hotel. Overall, I felt that Hotel Almirador offered very poor value for money, it is overpriced, especially when compared with nearby hotels that appeared to provide significantly better facilities, service, and atmosphere at a similar price point. I would not return and would encourage prospective guests to look carefully beyond the promotional photos before booking. If anyone from the management would like to discuss you have my number."

Masseria San Domenico - Preferred Hotels & Resorts

"Masseria San Domenico er en udsøgt restaureret 15.C. gård og villa nær haven omgivet af haver og oliventræer, der indeholder århundreder gamle træer. Familien Malpignano købte oprindeligt ejendommen som feriehjem med matriarken Marisa Lisi Melpignano, der løb hovedet på dens transformation. Efter mange år, da familiens børn blev vokset op, blev beslutningen truffet om at gøre ejendommen til et hotel.For omkring 15 år siden byggede familien den nærliggende resort Borgo Egnazia, som er meget større og designet til at simulere en italiensk landsby. Vi besøgte ejendommen, men foretrækker Masseria San Domenico.Også Borgo Egnazia byder børn og familier velkommen. Det fremhæves for mig som svømmemand er den 50-meter lange svømmebassin, der naturligt er sat ind i landskabet og delvist fyldt med havvand.Absolut en glæde at svømme ind!Gæsteværelser og offentlige områder er smagfuldt møbleret. Brandt tøj og toiletter, tøj og slips er til rådighed.Maden er fremragende!Alle personalet er venlige og overnatning.Dette var det sidste hotel på vores cykeltur og helt sikkert langt og langt det bedste.Højt anbefales og håber at vende tilbage! Vi var så forbløffet over ejendommen og visionen af Marisa Lisi Melpignano, at vi købte det store volumen, der dokumenterer dens historie og udvikling.Familien har også etableret en fond i Puglia for at bevare områdets historie og land. Og vi måtte bare købe en mængde af deres spektakulære olivenolie for at tage hjem!"

"The staff (from check-in to breakfast service to check-out) were not hospitable, with few exceptions. You feel like a tolerated "money provider," not a welcome guest. At breakfast, we waited almost until the end to get coffee (Giuseppe? was anything but motivated...). There's a lack of a good spirit, someone keeping an eye on things. What a shame! It would be such a beautiful place (beautifully decorated, practically every corner is Instagrammable, a gorgeous masseria in the middle of 13,000 olive trees), but we can't wholeheartedly recommend it."
