"Et smukt hotel omgivet af et vidunderligt havelandskab. Der skete sjældent noget uforudsigeligt - Black out på den iberiske halvø. Hotelledere har reageret på en god måde - givet oplysninger, givet hver person en vandflaske, serveret kold mad og gratis grillmåltider på aftenen i restauranten. Også nødstrømsaggregatet løb i timevis. Så vi følte os godt ophøjet til trods for usikkerheden.  Solen nyder på den smukke pool landskab er ikke heller at foragte. Frugtbuffet var varieret, også med et godt udvalg for veganer og vegetarer. Vi har bl.a. nydt den smukke, sød frugt meget."

"Fordele: Godt hotel for familier. Huset har alle faciliteter og rensning sker dagligt. Poolen er ikke meget besat, så det er nemt at blive tæt på poolen altid at overvåge børnene. Der er en lille børneklub med aktiviteter.. Men vi har ikke nydt godt af det, fordi de ikke forklarede, hvor det var, og hvordan det fungerede, men kun tidsplanen for aktiviteterne blev givet. Ulempe: Jeg ville fjerne mappen fra huset og have møbler på balkonen, så de fire kunne spise morgenmad. Der bør være mere generel overvågning i landsbyen. - Og isprisen på restauranten er forbudt. Badeværelset bør være ren (hår, etc)"

"When we arrived at our villa the heating was not switched on and we were unable to make it work. Later a maintenance man arrived and got the heating working but it was still very cold. The bedding was inadequate and we had to sleep with our clothes and sweaters on. The next day when we returned from playing golf the temperature had risen to 18 degrees. The bedrooms and the sitting room were still very cold. We asked for floor heaters but were told that none were available. By the third day the temperature had risen to 20 degrees, still cold but bearable. I have written three emails to Pestana to complain but their reception say that they are too busy to reply. An email to management also remains unanswered. Avoid this place, they do not know how to treat their paying customers."

Pestana Carvoeiro Golfe - Al ★★★★

"Significant Disappointment at Pestana Golf Resort Carvoeiro (Booking reference: 743278) We booked our trip over a year in advance through Golf Breaks as a group of 12 women, with clear and specific requirements: two villas located next to each other, each sleeping six guests, and twin room configurations. Unfortunately, Pestana Golf Resort Carvoeiro failed to meet these expectations on multiple levels. Instead of the requested arrangement, our group was placed on opposite sides of the golf course, and the villas did not include the twin rooms we had booked. Several members of our party had to share double beds, not everyone was comfortable with this option and the only alternative offered was a cot bed, which was wholly inappropriate given the cost of the trip and the notice provided at the time of booking. The accommodation itself was also below standard. Villa 199 (a V3 villa) was very run down, with miscellaneous items shoved into cupboards, giving the impression of poor maintenance and disorganisation. Although the villa accommodates six people, it was supplied with only four sunbeds. We were assured additional sunbeds would be delivered, but they never arrived. The second half of our group was “upgraded” to a V4 villa, reportedly due to the resort being fully booked — raising concerns about overbooking, particularly given our early reservation. While the V4 villa was an improvement, it still presented issues, including ants inside one of the sofas and a smashed patio door. The significant distance between the two villas left our group feeling disconnected, which detracted from the overall experience. Our golf day at Pinta de Vale was similarly problematic. Our tee time was delayed due to the resort’s error in arranging transfers to the course, and by the time we finished, the scheduled transfers had already ceased at 4pm. The initial suggestion from staff was that we should order an Uber for 12 people with 10 sets of golf clubs, which was entirely impractical. Only after waiting for over an hour and requesting to speak with a manager was a transfer finally arranged. It is important to acknowledge the positive aspects of our stay. Gramacho Golf Course was excellent, the clubhouse food was of a high standard, and the bar staff were friendly, engaging, and contributed positively to the atmosphere. These elements were appreciated, but they were not enough to offset the broader issues we encountered. Overall, the experience fell far short of expectations due to poor organisation, inadequate accommodation standards, and a lack of effective customer service. Despite a few highlights, I cannot recommend Pestana Golf Resort Carvoeiro based on this stay."

"We had an absolutely wonderful time at Presa da Moura, the flat has everything you need to spend a perfect holiday with your friends and loved ones, we will definitely go back ! The view on the sea is stunning and the flat is perfectly located within a few minutes of breathtaking landscapes, gorgeous beaches and great hikes by the sea. Shoutout to our hosts who made our stay truly memorable !"

"I have travelled since I was a kid all over the world, but I believe this is the best accommodation I’ve ever stayed at all things considered. Me and my wife have stayed there two years in a row now. I would recommend it to everyone except for noise groups of people since it is a very soothing and relaxing place."
