"Since it is a Yukai Resort, the facilities and system are the same. The exterior of the building was noticeably old, and the interior was a bit complicated, but it was clean. Our room was on the first floor of the West Wing, so we could see the lake, but the view was not that great. Perhaps because it was a weekday, there seemed to be few guests staying, so we were able to relax in the hot springs both at night and in the morning with only a few people. The spring water contains salt, but I think it is of good quality. There was a yakiniku buffet and a variety of sushi, and the food was good. I thought the staff were very friendly. The surrounding Ena Gorge itself was not that appealing. Rather than staying for sightseeing, I think it is a good place to relax and enjoy the hot springs at a reasonable price."

"The staff were very polite and helpful, which made my stay very pleasant. The only issue was a slight odor, possibly due to poor drainage in the unit bathroom. Although the room did not have a private toilet or bath, the shared toilet was very clean. The bathing area was quite small and couldn't accommodate many people at once. However, it was nice that it was available for use until 9:00 AM. The meals were all delicious. Dining by the irori was a rare and extraordinary experience, which I truly enjoyed. The river fish served was ayu (sweetfish). The staff checked on the grilling process several times. Both the Hida beef and the local vegetables were excellent. For breakfast, the dishes followed the "Mago wa Yasashii" (a balanced Japanese diet) concept, and they paired perfectly with rice, making me go for extra servings. The staff provided excellent and courteous service, and I would love to stay here again."

"This place is so beautiful, traditional style rooms and sliding doors, lots of natural wood. It felt like I was in a luxury hotel! The woman who ran in was so kind and friendly, I loved my stay here. I stayed here to hike a portion of the Nakasendo Way- Magome to Tsumago. It’s not close, you have to go to take like 2 or 3 transits to get there, I think it was like 2 hours to get there if I remember. It’s an old, traditional Japanese village- the buildings are really cool. There wasn’t much going on though while I was there, not many restaurants open. I ended up stocking up on food from 7/11 in Ena or Nakatsugawa I think it was to take back with me because there aren’t any stores like that in Iwamura that I found. You can get cash out from the ATM at the post office. This was a very peaceful place and a cool insight into a non-touristy area of Japanese life. Would definitely recommend this accommodation."
