"Fantastic Family Stay – Even Better Than We Remembered! We spent 5 wonderful nights at Iririki Island Resort and absolutely loved our time there. Although we went into town for lunch and dinner a few times, we mostly stayed on the island and soaked in the beautiful surroundings. The kayaking and snorkeling were a highlight, especially thanks to Etella and Teraa—these two went above and beyond to look after our family and made the experience memorable. The ocean view villa was spacious, airy, and perfect for watching the fish swim right by our deck. The breakfast buffet was excellent and included halal chicken options, which we really appreciated. The staff catered to our dietary needs and made sure alcohol was left out, which meant we could enjoy every meal without worry. Only downside: they didn’t accept Amex and charged a 3% surcharge on Visa/MasterCard, which, combined with international bank fees, added up. Although we had a discount from Trip.com, we couldn’t really take advantage of it due to these charges. Next time, we’ll prepay online instead of using the “pay at hotel” option. This was our second visit to Port Vila after 13 years, and both the city and Iririki were just as magical as we remembered. A special shoutout to Taste of India in town—absolutely fantastic food! Highly recommended for families, couples, and anyone looking to unwind in paradise."

Trees and Fishes Private Retreat
"The hotel is about a 40-minute drive from the city center and is not very large. It has its own beach and small pier. Guests can use canoes and SUPs for free; masks need to be rented. It's recommended to rent a car. The hotel charges 7000 VAT for a one-way trip to the city center, and 30,000 VAT for a full day's use with a driver. They don't give room keys; they say it's only for staff and guests, so there's nothing to worry about. Even our room door was difficult to close properly, so we just left it open. The food at the hotel wasn't very good. Breakfast was okay, but the penne pasta we ordered for lunch was extremely salty, and the fish burger for dinner had a bread as hard as a baguette. The pizza was okay, and the fries were good. The scenery is beautiful. We stayed for four nights, but lunch and dinner were the most inconvenient."

"Oh My!!!! What a wonderful place to stay. The Havannah ticked all the boxes... No Kids!, max 34 guests, extremely quiet, no motorised water sports (no jetski noise etc), a la carte for brekky lunch and dinner included in the room rate. Lots of free watercraft - single and 2 person kayaks, Hobi cat, stand up paddleboards. Also free use of snorkelling gear. The very close coral isn't spectacular, but the staff will advise which way to swim to see the better coral. There were still many very colourful fish to see, and 2 x large (30cm across) anemones just off the beach along with their resident clown fish. If you look carefully, you will often see turtles and dugongs just off the beach. We also saw a pod of dolphins out in the deeper water. For those who like to go fishing, you can book to do just that, and also book other tours, remote picnics, snorkelling etc. The meals at The Havannah are amazing! Every mouthful is a carefully curated taste experience. No seasoning necessary! And there was absolutely nothing we ate where we thought - 'needed a little more' anything. Every morsel was just perfect. The chefs here are very much world class! Every staff member was so very cheerful, helpful, kind and caring. The beach and views are amazing. Waters are crystal clear and often glassy if there is little breeze. We drank many cocktails, spirits etc for 6 nights and the total cost was only just over $300Australian - incredibly good value. The complimentary pickup from the airport took away all stress. They even tell you the evening before what time they will take you the next day to the airport. The road from Port Havannah to Port Vila is not in a good way at present, but you need to remember this is a developing country with not much population and many islands for the government to look after. The bus was aircondioned and comfy - so we just took in the views. We WILL be going back!"

I really appreciated the blackout drapes. We enjoyed several meals at the resort restaurant. The food was fresh. Also, thanks to breezes and shade, we were able to eat outdoors in comfort."

"I am not one to complain or make negative comments about our stays however I feel I need to mention a few items. From the moment we arrived we felt very awkward, like we had interrupted a family gathering. There were more workers than guests. The Resort was neat, tidy and crisply painted white-looked appealing. Colonial style rooms wooden floorboards high ceiling with fan and nice balcony overlooking the river from the lagoon-wouldn’t recommend swimming in there. No hot water and only one towel between us, despite asking management twice to review, never got fixed. Beers were warm and not well stocked- we went and bought cold beers from the supermarket. The vibe of the place was totally off-despite us both trying to convince each other it would be relaxing we couldn’t quite shake off the feeling. The chef cooked an amazing dinner one of the best meals we had in Vanuatu-what an asset to the Resort. We had booked 4 nights and only stayed one. The Manager had no insight when we checked out even when we mentioned having no hot water was an issue. He asked us where we were going to stay which we replied back in town. He just shrugged his shoulders like it wasn’t the first time he had had this conversation or interaction with guests. We did not ask for our money back just clocked it up to an experience!! Would I recommend people to stay…no however if you are just wanting a home base and you venture out all day and come back for dinner I would recommend, hopefully you get to have a hot shower. "

"I travelled to Port Vila as part of a team of 4 volunteers - we all volunteer for Taskforce Kiwi and were travelling on to Ambrym Island to carry our damage assessments after Cyclone Lola. We stayed twice at Kaiviti Motel - and the owners and staff were wonderful - very accommodating and friendly. We didn't have a car but everything is in walking distance - the location is perfect. We had a 2 bedroom apartment with kitchen, and found it to be very clean and suited us well. We were either working or in the pool."

"Since the moment we stepped off the plane we have done nothing but smile, relax and be immersed in the beauty of this country. Waves at Surfside was a truely magical experIence, beach at the front door, falling to sleep with the sound of the waves crashing, own swimming pool and beautiful amenities. A big shout out and thank you to Katia and her thoughtful, kind staff. Katia booked all our jaw dropping tours! Zip lining, horse riding, snorkelling with turtles, visiting a neighbouring island learning about their culture, seeing beautiful lagoons and finishing with the fire show at the Beach Bar to name a few. Our tour guides were exceptional, knowledgeable and so friendly. Always on the look out how to make our time with them memorable. We loved how we were not treated as a number and were constantly thanked for coming to visit their country. We were also able to use the washing machine and cooking facilities which saved money but also dine out if we wished. If you are looking for a place to make memories look no further Waves at Surfside is your place. Thank you Jacquie, Richard and Helena"

Villa 12 er en strandside pool villa med koralvægge og dagssengelinned på dæk for at slappe af og nyde udsigten til Havana Harbour.Det er en kort gåtur langs vandfronten for at få baren og restauranten.Det er luksus. Hvis det er din første rejse til Moso Island, skal du vide, at der ikke er indkøb, fordi der ikke er butikker.Der er ingen caféer, ingen natklubber, ingen veje, ingen biler, ingen taxier. Det er en ø i det sydlige Stillehav, så hvis du vil gå på klubben eller indkøb, er det ikke for dig.Hvis du vil gøre øens ting og snorkel på en af de mest fantastiske private strande, jeg nogensinde har været til, så er det her stedet for dig. "While I would like to be able to say that despite the impact of the cyclones that damaged their resort they still try to provide a resort experience - we cannot. Furniture in rooms full of borers (borer poo everywhere); not enough amenities in rooms to be able to cook or even make a cup of tea (amenities not clean). Menu was not was represented online (6 months post cyclone) and prices higher. we booked the couples room nearest the restaurant but this was given to another lovely couple (which was fine but just tell us). my partner got significant food poising while there (could only have been from the resort kitchen unfortunately). Drinks menu not great (had to ask staff to put beer in the fridge). There is no Spa - only a bed that is brought to your room (certainly no spa products). Never offered list of activities available. One kayak but had holes in it. Not enough lighting between rooms and the restaurant. expensive shuttle service so make sure you have your own car. Was very windy while we were there but that wasn’t the owners fault :), but just be aware that it’s very exposed. Owners hearts weren’t in the resort. One owner turned up to work in the same food stained shirt on multiple days. The other ran a team building exercise while we were there which closed the restaurant to us (again that’s fine but make us aware). Our driver was lovely! The local staff did try hard and they were the best part of the trip."
