"Situated in the heart of Dürnstein, it was a perfect place to stay. The room was clean and spacious, the staff were very friendly and the dinner was unforgettable. The most surprising thing was that it was so quiet, even though the street was full of tourists. If you want to make the most of your holiday in the Wachau, it's a good idea to book a room here. The price was reasonable considering the expensive hotels in Vienna."

"Not a good hotel. The rooms are very dated, with furniture and fittings that look like they haven’t been updated in decades. Most things are either broken, worn out, or barely functional. There is no air conditioning, which made the stay very uncomfortable. The rooms are consistently 5–10 degrees warmer than outside, and the old, drab furniture just adds to the stuffy, claustrophobic feeling. As the other reviews have said, the hotel is basically half of a building site. Construction starts early in the morning and is extremely noisy, which completely ruins any chance of rest or relaxation. The location is also poor. It’s right on a main road, so there is constant traffic noise, day and night. To make things worse, the only way into town is via a narrow, dark road that takes about 20 minutes to walk. Not convenient at all. Service was very mixed. A few members of staff were polite and helpful, but others were shockingly rude. At times, staff were openly disrespecting each other in front of guests, which made for an awkward and unprofessional atmosphere. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Outdated, uncomfortable, badly located, noisy, and with inconsistent service."

"What a beautiful place to stay, the town and the hotel. We are so glad we picked this over the Schloss after seeing both. So much character and the outdoor space is really beautiful and unique, way better than the aforementioned. We had the least expensive room type which was more than adequate with a real king bed and view of the rose garden. The staff were wonderful. The restaurant was also expensive but very good. Included breakfast was fantastic. Splurge and go here rather than the Schloss which is even more expensive and not as nice imho. We rented their bikes for the day and did a 60km loop up and down the Danube each side to Melk. Bikes were very good and only 14E for the day each. This was such a wonderful thing to do. There are options with boats and ferries to do both sides of the river shorter bikes as well."

På den nederste etage er en ubehagelig modereret lugt, pudsen i badet brækker sig, og der er delvis svampe på væggen, ventilationen på dæk hænger ned, der er salt til bekæmpelse af skadedyr på vinduet og gulvet, En unødvendig børnestol står rundt og flaskerne i vinkælderen er fuldstændig støvet. For dyrt, jeg ville ikke bestille denne lejlighed mere!!"
