"This is such a special place. The moment you step into the hotel you are surrounded by incredible history and welcomed by extremely lovely staff. The room was ultra clean, bright and welcoming. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful and I would recommend eating in their restaurant in the evening. The food was outstanding. You can relax by the pool surrounded by history or unwind in the garden which is so peaceful. Durnstein is a beautiful town but we would return for the hotel alone. Thank you to the owners and all the staff - we didn't want to leave!"

"Lejligheden Rothenhof 1 har forskellige mangler.. På den nederste etage er en ubehagelig modereret lugt, pudsen i badet brækker sig, og der er delvis svampe på væggen, ventilationen på dæk hænger ned, der er salt til bekæmpelse af skadedyr på vinduet og gulvet, En unødvendig børnestol står rundt og flaskerne i vinkælderen er fuldstændig støvet. For dyrt, jeg ville ikke bestille denne lejlighed mere!!"

"Der er bygget et moderne opholdsområde i en historisk bygning.Receptionen er meget intim og har hjulpet os med at booke hotellets middag, fordi restauranterne i byen er lukket om seks. Restauranten er ved floden, den smukke landskab, morgenmadsbuffet og personlige pleje, og mad og middag er af høj kvalitet. Den eneste ufuldkommenhed er, at der er en trappe i rummet, og at gå på toilettet om natten."

"Beautiful hotel with spacious and tastefully decorated spaces and rooms. Rooftop wellness area with a relaxing view. New construction activity was not perceived as disturbing. The location at the foot of the vineyards means it's directly on the Krems-Melk road with corresponding traffic, separated only by a quiet railway embankment. Rooms without air conditioning mean open windows with street noise. Rooms above the smoking terrace are not recommended. The service is supposed to be over after 10:00 PM – no one cares. Breakfast really had an above-average and good selection. Dinner: Disappointing, because the salmon tartar starter was more of an attempt but not well-executed, i.e., without seasoning, and the main course had a wait of an hour. Explanation: Communication was broken! The restaurant was visited by a group and a few couples. This wasn't Austria. We dined at the Schlosshotel for the next few days with excellent service and imaginative cuisine. Nevertheless, a beautiful hotel with potential for improvement, with appropriate management. The staff, by the way, was exceptionally polite, except for one senior who shuffled around without greeting."
