"Vi blev i 1-bed-kælderen og vores venner blev i 2-bed ved siden af døren.De er beliggende i en smuk landsby, mælk i køleskabet og en kage var meget værdsat ved vores ankomst. God afgang parkering og en god busservice i Durham City Centre.God, velkommen pub over vejen, god mad og god atmosfære (de gør også morgenmad). Husholdningerne havde alt, hvad du havde brug for for et kort ophold, men vi var alle enige om, at der er plads til nogle forbedringer for at gøre huset lidt mere behageligt. De bløde møbler var godt båret & en lille grubby, senge så ubehagelige (Måske er det personligt valg, men vi følte sengen sammen med sofaerne, handsker & sengetøj kunne gøre med erstatning) Den generelle renhed var okay, men så begynder du at bemærke cobwebs osv., intet større, men opmærksomheden på detaljer ville gøre disse lejligheder gå fra OK til luksus.I 2-bed-værelset var rygealarm savnet. Overordnet havde vi et godt ophold & landsbyens indstilling, ejerne venskab osv. er værdifuldt for vurderingen, da de punkter, jeg har bemærket, kan sorteres så let."

"When we were looking for somewhere to stay we were concerned that there had been no reviews written for here since 2022? However due to being offered at a good price and being satisfied with what reviews were offered we chose to stay for two nights in May 2024. The checkin was easy and the accommodation (Hen House) is well presented, comfortable and warm. We found the information folder made us smile as it referenced info from 2019 & clearly hadn’t been updated for some time. The lack of any information detailing walks we could take from the accommodation with our two dogs was also frustrating. That said, we got what we wanted, a peaceful stay in a handy location. We had an enjoyable time exploring Durham city as well as Hamsterley Forest. We self catered with no issues. The WiFi was essential for the smart TV to work, so when the WiFi was knocked off on our last day before we had even left, meant our last impression wasn’t great. If we needed to stay in the area again we would consider returning though."
