"Stayed at the White Swan recently for 4 nights. We were in a group of 5. We had a great stay here using the hotel as a base. Breakfast was fantastic with a great choice. We also ate here in the evening and the food was excellent, each evening had specials on the menu, Sunday was our favourite with turkey and all the trimmings. Rooms were perfect for what we required and the beds were very comfortable. The staff made this stay with each and every one pleasant to speak to and service was exceptional. If we are back in the area next year we wont look anywhere else for accommodation."

"Smukt skotsk hytte, der serverer frisk lokal produkt, komfortabel og ekstremt ren værelse, fluffy hvide håndklæder, skotsk højland toiletter og høj kvalitetsbedde.Det var bare smukt. Vi nydte at vende tilbage til Inn efter en dags sightseeing i de smukke grænser, hvor der er masser at se og gøre med majestætiske landhuse, slotte, museer og haver at nyde, og hvad gjorde det ekstra specielt var at vende tilbage til Allanton Inn for at nyde en drikke i haven før middag.Tak til William og Katrina for din gæstfrihed og til den smukke medarbejder, der hjælper med at gøre dette til et særligt sted at bo."

Green Hope Guest House ★★★

"Our first visit to Green Hope and, I hope, it will not be the last. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed just being there in such a peaceful location, with such a pleasant outlook. The suite of rooms are all but perfect, for a couple, wheelchair users or solo travellers. (One small point: the switches for the bedside lamps are difficult to find and operate in the dark). And there are two "Sitooteries,**" each with stepped access, for use by the guests. One a Gazebo by the flat; the other, about fifty yards away, a Summer House with a veranda, overlooking the river. Alison and Bill, the owners living nearby, are very helpful when needed, but not intrusive. Perfect hosts. **"Sitootery:" A place to sit in/on, outside of the main dwelling. The Coach House ★★★

"The Coach House is in a quiet secluded location between Chirnside and Allanton. It's extremely peaceful and a great place to relax and unwind. The cottage is spacious and comfortable with all the amenities you need for your stay. Liz is very helpful and was available to answer any questions. It's a perfect place to stay for the Jim Clark Rally and I highly recommend it!"
