"The front desk staff were really friendly. However, it didn't feel particularly clean. Especially the common areas – I got the strong impression they weren't cleaned very well. Still, the bathrooms were quite clean. Later, I heard from a friend who lives in Dublin that the south side of Dublin (city center near Trinity College) is very safe, but the north side where this hostel is located isn't particularly safe. I definitely felt that. The buildings lined up in front of the hostel made me think of the broken window theory, and the smell of ****** nearby was really strong. Don't walk alone at night. Overall, I was satisfied since I only stayed for one night, but if you're planning a longer stay, I recommend the city center area. (This is more of a geographical location issue than an internal hostel problem...)"

"I last stayed here around 8 years ago the place has been refurbished and is excellent it's in the centre of Tallaght with with everything in walking distance whether for shopping dining or the local pubs We got a very reasonable price for our stay and we will definitely be going back in the very near future. "I booked for three consecutive days, and on the third day, I had to switch rooms. The front desk tried to charge me 8 euros for luggage storage, claiming that switching rooms counts as a check-out. They said check-in was at 3 PM and check-out by 11 AM at the latest, and that luggage couldn't be stored for free at the hotel. What?! Even Trip.com calling them didn't help. Absolutely terrible."

"A terrible experience – a completely uncustomer-focused hotel! We were traveling with a child and accidentally missed our check-in date by one day. We requested a cancellation because we were running late. Ultimately, the hotel simply charged us the full amount without a response or opportunity to explain the situation. Yes, it's technically within the rules, but there should be humane treatment for tourists; the hotel has lost its reputation over such a small fee!"

"This is a grand old house in a great location. However, It’s not a 4 star premises. Very tired and no professionalism any shape or form in its operation. . Room was tired with scruffy furniture that looks like it came from the back of a second hand charity shop. That being said, the room was clean, bed comfortable and heater worked once I figured out how to work via the damaged control buttons. Overall, it’s not what you expect from a 4 start venue so not worth the money."
