"Great Hmong homestay just on the edge of town. If have own transport, this should be fine. Turned up after long journey from Ha Giang. Was welcomed with a fantastic family meal and hot bath/shower. Just what I needed. Breakfast was excellent in the morning; in terms of a chicken pho. Accommodation looks simple, but great attention to detail in the rooms; from heaters to electric blankets. All taken care of. Wouldn’t hesitate to return"

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I stayed here after finishing the first day of the Ha Giang Loop, and it was exactly what I needed. The room was new, spotless, and very comfortable. Everything was well equipped, and the bathroom was exceptionally clean. The price was also very reasonable, making it great value for money. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They recommended great local restaurants, shared useful information about Dong Van, and were always happy to answer my questions. The best part was when I arrived completely soaked after riding through heavy rain all day. She smiled and told me not to worry, let me check in immediately. She kindness really made my day after such a long and wet ride. If you’re doing the Ha Giang Loop and planning to stay overnight in Dong Van, I highly recommend this place!"

"We had a really nice stay at the Plum homestay. The homestay is a little off the main road. So it is great for low noise, and sleep but a little walk into town if you want food and don’t have a motorbike. Because we booked so close to Tet, the restaurant wasn’t open. But they kindly refunded us a portion of our room cost because breakfast could not be provided as paid for. As for the room, we really enjoyed staying in the bungalow. The ac worked great (heating and cooling) and the shower pressure was fantastic (best we had so far in all the stays we had in Vietnam). Staff was really nice as well."

"The Nostalgia was a place to put our heads down for one night. It’s a hostel rather than a hotel and could really have benefited from a deep clean.  There is no elevator but the one redeeming feature of the hotel was how helpful the man on reception was. He was a credit to the property."
