"Although we got an upgraded room, it was still quite small. The cleanliness was acceptable. The female receptionist was very nice and offered free breakfast for the kids. However, the male receptionist was a bit cold. The shower didn't have a non-slip mat, so I called the front desk to ask for one. The male receptionist said they would send one up, but after waiting over ten minutes, nothing arrived. I called again, and an older lady came up to say the hotel didn't have non-slip mats and offered a floor towel instead. Lastly, the breakfast was abundant and delicious."

"The relatively (to other places in china) high prices of nearby restaurants was the only detractor from my experience with my two other friends at this hotel. We stayed in a 2-bed room (queen and single) and had plenty of space for us to open all our luggages. There was a pool too, but we didn't use it. Perhaps the best part of the stay was how friendly and helpful the host was: she recommended food, helped us to our rooms, quickly gave us another towel when we needed one, literally ordered a taxi to the Moganshan entrance for us because we were having difficulties, and even gave us a bag with 10 water bottles for free!! Also the included breakfast was yummy too! Stay here and support her small family B&B!"

"A hidden gem of a B&B in Xiantan Village, it looks just like something out of a Miyazaki fairy tale – so unique! We got upgraded to a dome room during the off-season, and I loved the tatami relaxation area and the balcony with breathtaking views. It would be even better if the private hot spring’s overhead cover could be removed and some small night lights added for extra ambiance! A big thank you to the thoughtful butler for their excellent care."

"For a room costing 1500 a night, everything from the environment to the service was a complete letdown. To reach the hotel room, I had to walk through the basement parking lot – I've never seen such a bizarre layout before. The staff looked utterly miserable, as if "don't bother me" was written all over their face. I'm a paying guest, yet I felt like I was walking on eggshells! Upon entering the room, there was a strong musty smell. The sheets and duvet felt damp, clearly indicating a lack of ventilation. The toilet and bathroom had transparent glass walls – what's the logic behind that design choice? The curtains weren't blackout, so the room was flooded with light as soon as dawn broke, making it impossible to sleep in the morning. And the small sofa in the room had visible stains; it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages! When a staff member opened the door for us, the magnetic catch was broken, so they skillfully (and shockingly) tied the door handle down with a bathrobe sleeve! Unbelievable! Is this what I paid 1500 a night for???"

When I checked in, I saw this scrolling poster at the front desk. I jokingly asked the front desk what this is. Atour fitting room, can I choose clothes? The front desk smiled and told me that this is a public welfare activity organized by Atour, an activity to donate clothes to the villagers of Atour Village in Yunnan. I was shocked. When digging a well, don't forget the well digger. Atour is indeed a brand that is doing charity work attentively and down-to-earth. It always passes on love silently. No wonder all the employees are so excellent and kind. I like the virtue of Atour Enterprise and the service of Qingju Hotel!"
