"Wanted to rebook as this hotel has good location and accepted pets. This year I booked on their website then found out they no longer take pets. Telephoned and cancelled within 10/15 minutes of making the booking. Spoke to English speaking receptionist who assured me they would cancel my booking and that the money would be refunded to my bank. I was very clear on this. Booking cancelled and received confirmation email. No refund received and no reponse to my 3 emails. A very expensive 15 minutes. Don't be caught out, double check."

"The hotel is approached by a fairly steep hill but there are traffic lights to avoid meeting someone travelling in the opposite direction. The building is unique and has been very thoughtfully restored and converted. We had rooms 101 and 102 for a one night stay. Both rooms were full of character but well fitted out. Bathrooms were large, well equipped and with good plumbing. There is both a good lift and a wide staircase to the upper floors. On the ground floor is a bar area where tea and coffee is provided by a machine. You can also get beers and soft drinks using an honesty tab. Wine can be ordered through reception. The dining room is a lovely light space. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent quality and very well priced. All four of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The town of Oñati has interesting old buildings and there are nice cafes."

"The hotel is located in the centre of Mondragon, just a few minutes walk from the old town. The breakfast is very good. It may be missing white cheese, but I chipote ... The dining room is very pleasant. Last year I was on the foot floor and this year on the second floor. The rooms are spacious, clean, pleasant. The beds are wide, firm and comfortable. The bathroom is also very nice, with a very spacious Italian shower. You have a small refrigerator which is very convenient, a flat screen TV. I would like to emphasise the kindness of all staff, whether in the kitchen, at the reception or at the cleaning of the rooms. The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable."

"Venligt hotel i en helt smuk beliggenhed.Vi ankom på cykel, og de var meget velkommen til at opbevare vores cykler i garagen.Hotellet er en meget kort gåtur fra Arantzazu kloster og på basen af smukke vandreture. Breakfast var ikke fantastisk, men tilfreds.Hotellets porcelæn var travlt, da vi ankom på søndag eftermiddag, men var ret fredelig, da turisterne forlod hele dagen."

"An excellent hotel. Attentive client experience. Plenty of options for eating on site (Cafeteria / Restaurant) Plentiful car parking safe & easy. (no cost) Rooms are clean, spacious & ours had an excellent shower! We ate at the hotel in the restaurant. The food was wonderful. Good sized portions with an abundance of taste. (Fish & meat dish) would definitely use the restaurant again. For breakfast we used the cafeteria area, all self service apart from drinks (coffee , tea etc) As a heads up though it was quiet in terms of people staying, the hotel was packed with people using the restaurant, always a good sign! A really enjoyable stay & would recommend as we would definitely stay again."
