"There is no other favorite hotel in Sri Lanka. It is located near the central Sigiriya Rock, just over 10 minutes’ drive from the Dambulla Caves, and not far from the Kandalama Heritage Hotel... Compared to the Heritage Hotel, this is a small hotel. It is relatively new due to its late opening. The environment is very good and there is a small lake in front, which is no less than the Heritage Hotel Industrial Nordic design style, very simple and atmospheric, the room is large and comfortable to live in~ 70-meter long swimming pool, almost no one during the day, check-in is also very good! The all-day restaurant has good breakfast and dinner, and dinner is self-catering"

"First, this hotel is in a very remote location, with nothing nearby, making it difficult to get around. Secondly, the hotel's design clearly shows a lot of effort, but it's not well maintained. We were moved four rooms in one day. Within 10 minutes of checking in, they told us there was a plumbing problem. After a long wait, they moved us to a different room type. After checking in, we still had no water. In the third room, large bugs kept dropping onto the bed and onto our bodies throughout the night, which was terrifying. We finally got our final room cleaned and changed after 10 PM. We finally got some sleep, but the next morning, the stationary hair dryer was broken again! We had our laundry done, and they told us we didn't need to iron it, only wash it. But when we checked out, they still charged us for the ironing! Luckily, my husband had texted them about our request via What's Up, and they were able to get rid of the extra charge. This completely delayed our plans for the better part of a day!"

"We stayed at Water Garden Sigiriya during our trip around Sri Lanka. The setting is stunning, with what must be one of the best views of Sigiriya Rock Fortress. First impressions were excellent. On arrival we were welcomed with a relaxing five-minute shoulder massage during check-in, which was a lovely touch, and the villas themselves are modern, spacious and very comfortable. Unfortunately, once we settled in the service felt quite disjointed. While the staff were polite, there seemed to be very little proactive service. For example, we sat by the pool for around three hours one afternoon and only one staff member spoke to us, simply to ask if we wanted towels for the sun loungers. When we asked about ordering drinks, we were told we needed to go upstairs to the bar to order them. Evening drinks in the upstairs bar were also hit and miss in terms of service. The restaurant was very busy and the staff worked hard, but it felt quite mechanical, as though everyone was simply following a routine rather than engaging with guests. At one point my husband wasn’t feeling well and we asked if we could quickly sign the bill, but this seemed difficult for the staff to arrange. The spa treatment itself was good, but the overall spa experience felt a little strange due to the layout. On arrival there was no relaxing reception or seating area to complete the questionnaire, just the spa check-in deck. After the treatment we were offered herbal tea, but there was nowhere comfortable to sit and relax, so we ended up back at the check-in desk area in front of the staff. When the next guests arrived, it felt like we needed to move on to make space. The experience would benefit from a proper reception and relaxation area. Overall, while the views and villas are excellent, the service didn’t match the setting or the price. In fact, this ended up being the most expensive hotel of our entire trip and unfortunately also the most disappointing. With more attentive and coordinated service it could be a fantastic place to stay, but at the moment it didn’t feel like good value for money."

"A wonderful hotel in a quiet location among rice fields. Peacocks and the sounds of the jungle. If you love nature and solitude, this is perfect! Just remember that there's no "civilization" right next door. The rooms are nice, clean, and comfortable. The reception is very warm. The breakfast and dinner were delicious! Thanks to all the hotel staff. Most importantly for those traveling by car, the road Google defaults to on the lake side is bad, full of potholes; we barely made it. The road on the other side, while rough, is much better. I've attached a map in the photo."

"I used it when I traveled with 3 friends! It's a place where you can heal with plenty of nature, but the location was good because you can go to the rice shop as soon as you take a taxi. I wore it without hesitation because there was a sign nearby. The most impressive thing was the kindness of the owner! I arrived late at night, but he welcomed me very warmly without a disgusting face. The tea that was served for free on my way home was really delicious. The room was great, and even if we stayed for 3 people, there was a fluffy bed for each person! It was cool at night and I could sleep well, and the water area I was worried about was usually clean and there was no problem at all. Anyway, the owner's personality was nice and it was an inn that I would definitely want to stay again!"

The Golden Buddha Temple is also within walking distance. The breakfasts are good, with lots of fruit and delicious food.
