"One of the worst places I’ve stayed. Stained sheets, bugs all over the place. Broken Fixtures and fittings, very little storage room, shower that sprayed needles of water in lots of different directions. Seemingly incompetent staff who handed out rooms without first checking bookings meaning we couldn’t get in the room we booked and paid for. Management seemed uninterested in sorting it and gave the burden of responsibility to the receptionist who came to the reception when called by manager in night attire. We had to ask for a 2nd bedsheet in order we could both be covered at the same time during the uncomfortable nights sleep. We moved out into a different hotel after staying only 1 night. For balance, I expect this room would suffice for a few nights if you were a single backpacker looking for shelter on a budget"

"The rooms were dirty and full of mosquitoes, there was hair in the bathroom, and you could hear a lot of noise from the rooms next door, it smelled damp and it has closed, choose another hotel to stay at because this one is not worth it at all, if you book here you will regret it"

"Receptionisten Roxanne var super venlig og så var resten af hotellet.Et rent sted, en smuk pool og god morgenmad. Vi gjorde også nogle dykker.Dykningsvejledningerne var gode, men vi savnede interaktionen lidt.Ejeren sluttede sig selv til båden for en dag med en fransk fyr.Han har ikke sagt et ord til os hele dagen, den eneste grund, vi ville vælge et andet sted næste gang. Det kunne have været uheldigt."

"We stayed at BV for about 7 nights (end of Oct. 2023) with a group of divers, discovering malapascua. I had a double room on the 1. floor with my girlfriend and it was really nice. Everything was clean, nicely decorated and there was truly enough space for our staff also in the bathroom. Our highlight was the huge balcony with a view into the beautiful tropical garden of the Buena Vida. The service was perfect and the stuff were always friendly and helpful: Carrying the luggage, beach towels, small sweets with some greetings every evening 😋, minibar with regular and fair prices, amazing massages (also to good prices), arranging transfers, … We would love to come back again!!!"

"I loved hippo campus and the very helpful staff there , even though I booked on the day the owner found me a room and then found me a room for the next four days as they we’re fully booked so I had to change rooms a couple of times which was cool , it’s in a fantastic spot right on the beach with good music and great food :) thanks for everything Edwin , Hayden"

"Location: 4min from the main Pier facing north. Nothing asked of them was a problem, smiles and prompt service! Room large, cool air con, functional large bathroom. morning and afternoon sun to dry diving things. Restaurant has a massive pizza oven and they were perfect, everyday at least one :) Angelina staff are all professional filipinas doing their best to help. We asked for private car CEBU-Maya Port and then private boat - just for us :) Van was huge, comfortable and it takes 3hrs off peak traffic. 5min walk to white-beach (south beach) and walk along till it then veers north passing by empty resorts (24-29Sept) which was perfect for us with hardly any visitors. 40min walk to North Beach - nice & relax pace and good to see local's life, school, and forgotten Resorts....! North Beach is paradise - we snorkelled around rock point from a derelict Resort....so sad to see what Covid has done to businesses around the world!! Angelina staff - THANK YOU !"
