"My stay in this hotel was all the way positive and very pleasant. All was extremely clean and maintained, and the comfort was at a high level. The atmosphere invites a – quiet, relaxed and cozy to complete recovery. The small but very attractive pool with seawater – was a real highlight! The facility is traditionally designed, giving the place a special charm and a secret atmosphere. A great praise goes to the staff: The handling of the guests is very personal. Even on the first day, the staff in the restaurant realized my favorites – that really impressed me and made the stay even more pleasant. A hotel with excellent service and genuine hospitality. Very recommendable for all who appreciate the rest, comfort and personal care."

"They are still in fact when you cross the world. These hostels you enter and at the same time get and breathe deeply. They all seem to be different. This feeling happens when you check in this careful house on the German North Sea Coast. For decades, the guest has been offered everything and this at the highest level. From the unique location directly on the beach, further over the rooms and suites to the fantastic spa and beauty area. When Jürgen Starhagen, God hath blessed him, an former banker and genius hotelier, he decided not only to build a hotel, but to build and operate his hotel, he had only one goal in his eye: to offer the best to the guest. Together with his wife Helga, they were both a congenial duo. This was shown especially when selecting their staff. Many of them have been working here for years, very for the pleasure of the guests. Highly motivated, the serviceable spirits are doing their jobs. And so that the physical well-being is not too short, two restaurants have been created. The starlock, which has been awarded Michelin star for decades and the shaarhorn, also highly praised by many restaurant guides. All in all a perfect house. Hanseaticly restraint, but always when it is needed, Susan Cantauw leads the house. Loyal to the credo of Jürgen Starhagen: the guest is the best. Who wants to escape the world's unfairs for a while, be recommended to this culinary and guest-friendly island."

"Værelse nyt, men nemt indrettet, ingen særlig kvalitet. Bad en katastrofe, at der er sådan noget i dag! Gamle kakaoer og udstyr fra 70'erne, vaskebækken havde allerede en revne, vandhaj var ikke individuelt indstillelig, så defekt. Duschar med høj indgang og svampe i hjørner. - morgenmad tilbud var godt, morgenmadsrum attraktiv. Men her behandles ikke alle gæster på samme måde, nogle af dem er noget helt specielt. Vi måtte rydde et bord med en kop kaffe og en fuld stol, selv om andre bord var stadig fri, fordi dette bord var beregnet til tre andre gæster. Uden reservationsbesked, bemærket! Bare sådan, vi var nok kun gæster 2. Sådan noget er aldrig sket på et hotel, og vi var i hundredvis af indkvartering. Når vi betaler skat, blev vi ikke spurgt, om det var behageligt. Nej, det er ikke, vi kommer aldrig tilbage og kan kun afvise alle i denne ejendom. Der er mange bedre indkvartering i Cuxhaven."
