"Recently renovated, clean hotel, close to the center."

"The hotel was in a nice location and the restaurant was very good the back patio along the river was a highlight the rooms were small but met my needs I appreciated the front desk help and the morning breakfast’s were excellent. My complaint was that It was impossible to take a shower and not flood my room. There is clearly a known problem that the hotel hasn’t bothered to take care of because I could see the rotted baseboards near the bottom of the outside of the shower from many previous floods. The wood was damaged and peeling away from the wall. They didn’t seem to care when I told them. It wasn’t nice that they didn’t tell me to be careful if this known issue when showering so I didn’t have to step out of the shower and use every towel in the room to mop up all the water."

"We spent a few days at this recently opened resort. The villas are amazing: large, comfortable, spacious, with air conditioning/heating, accessible bathrooms, a porch, a garden... wonderful. It has a pool, sports courts, a paddle tennis court, a restaurant, and a beach bar that was almost empty these days. We'll have to publicize it. Prices are on the mid-to-high side, but it's worth it. A delicious buffet breakfast is included. As for criticism, we have to say that the price for bringing your dog (€20/night) seems excessively expensive, but hey, it's worth paying for. I would also include a small clothesline in each villa to dry swimsuits and towels in the sun (instead of the clothesline in the shower) so the wooden railings don't get damaged. Also, some dishwashing supplies (scouring pad and detergent; you can use a new one with each visit, and I don't think it will affect the bottom line). The staff is super friendly. We will return and recommend it. The music in the restaurant and breakfast room was especially appropriate…very low and very, very quiet."

"Very nice apartments in central Haro, a perfect base for exploring the Rioja wineries. The concierge was more than helpful and arrived at the property minutes after I called to say I had arrived. Chargeable on-street parking nearby and a free car park within 5 mins walk. The only negative was an occasional smell coming up from the septic tank but otherwise recommended."

"For a 4 star hotel, it didn’t quite hit the mark for me. Even though the building is old, they could’ve done better for the renovation. The room’s walls are quite thin and we heard noise throughout the night. A couple of amenities are missing.. Price and location are fantastic though so if you’re visiting just to go to wineries."

"This was our first stop off, on a trip through northern Spain. A beautiful old well restored Palacio, our room had a four poster and a huge spa bath, supremely comfortable bed, good air con, small fridge in room. The food in the restaurant was to die for, be warned, big portions. Lots of local produce used, superb fairly priced wine list. Great stop for visiting bodegas in Haro. Staff are so helpful, especially Daniel, also our charming waiter in the restaurant, both speak good English. Will definitely be coming back again."
