"Maniumpathy is a perfect location close enough to central Colombo but also a haven away from the hubbub of the city. Turning into the drive was like going back in time - arriving under the portico at the front of the building with the staff opening the door just as the car came to a stop! The cooling cloth to freshen and juice on arrival was just an indication of the fabulous indulgence we felt for our 2 night stay. The room was beautiful with a dressing area, double sink and our own little courtyard at the back. What we absolutely loved was the food! The thali was just mouth-watering, the breakfasts amazing and the cocktails at Dr Hallocks Bar were sublime! We loved that locals were also coming there to dine. This really was the height of luxury in a building with charm, character and so much history, and service of the highest standard. We would love to stay again in the future!"

Right from Masood at the door to Dileka at breakfast and Waruna at the Concierge , our every need was met, and then some! It’s fully accessible if you have reduced mobility , and everyone who works there is constantly thinking ahead, so that you feel comfortable. The location is beautiful, the food is amazing and the hospitality is truly exceptional. I’m very grateful to the entire team for ensuring we had a memorable holiday."

"I recently stayed at the Ramada by Wyndham Colombo, and overall it was a wonderful experience. The room was extremely spacious, honestly one of the largest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in within Colombo. Everything was very clean and well maintained, and the amenities were excellent. The room included everything you might need—tea and coffee facilities, toiletries, toothbrushes, and more. The bed was very large and comfortable, and the TV, office table was huge as well. All the facilities such as the lights, air conditioning, and fan worked perfectly, so we had no issues at all. Our room was on the 8th floor (top floor) and we had a nice view overlooking the Galle Face Hotel with a small view of the ocean. The location of the hotel is also excellent since it is very close to Galle Face Green and many other attractions in Colombo, which makes it very convenient for travelers. The check-in process was smooth, and they welcomed us with a refreshing welcome drink. One thing to note is that the security procedure is quite strict. When we had guests visiting our room briefly, they had to provide their IDs and go through a security check. It was the first time I experienced this in a hotel, but it is understandable since it helps maintain safety. Although we booked bed and breakfast, we later asked if we could add the dinner buffet, but unfortunately it was already full. However, something very kind happened later that night. My mother wanted chicken congee, so we asked the room service staff if it was available. Even though it was not on the menu at that moment, they were kind enough to prepare and send us a bowl of chicken congee. It was a very thoughtful gesture, and we truly appreciated their kindness. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a very wide variety of food, and everything we tried was delicious. My family has always liked the buffets at Ramada, and this time was no different. They also had live cooking stations, and the staff there were very friendly and welcoming. Overall, everything about the stay was great. The room, service, location, and food were all excellent. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel. It is absolutely worth the price and offers great value for money."

"Jeg boede der i 4 nætter og brugte over 2000 USD (inklusive Supun Resturant og Supun indkøbscenter i samme bygning). Sidste dag legede mit 3-årige barn med kuglepen og tegne i bogen, og hun pletter også noget på sengen, så de beder mig om bøde, jeg sagde ok, jeg vil være klar til at betale rengøringspenge, men de siger, at de vil have nyt sengetøjspenge, og det er 9000 LKR !!!!! Så sagde jeg ok, jeg vil betale 9000 LKR, du køber nyt sengetøj og giver mig et gammelt, så var de ikke enige og bad mig tale med driftslederen. Og driftsleder siger, at så kan jeg ikke give mig gammelt stenet sengetøj, men han beder mig betale 4500 LKR. Og jeg betaler 4500 og løste denne sag. På hele denne tid er adfærd ikke så kompatibel for en gæst."

Uber Eats can be ordered to the hotel in case you want to try other restaurants."

"Hotel Nippon Colombo offers a decent stay with a few hits and misses. The rooms were okay — fairly clean, but could use some updating in terms of decor and maintenance. Service was polite but a bit slow at times, and certain amenities felt a little dated. That said, the food was absolutely fantastic. The restaurant really impressed us with flavorful Sri Lankan dishes and a variety of options that felt authentic and well-prepared. Whether it was breakfast or dinner, the meals consistently stood out and were the highlight of the stay."
