"We are a family of four and booked 2 junior suites and requested both on booking and during email correspondence prior to our arrival for double bed and twin bed configurations. On our arrival we were allocated rooms at opposite ends of the hotel, on different floors and with 2 double beds. Housekeeping had apparently gone home for the night despite arriving before 6pm and so this could not be corrected. The hotel had a beautiful open fireplace in the main bar which for some reason on a cold night in December wasn’t alight. We ate dinner in the hotel brasserie where a significant number of dishes on the menu were unavailable with no explanation from the staff when asked. At breakfast the following morning we were unable to order coffee as apparently this service is not available on weekends. Overall, despite a great location, this was a very disappointing stay."

"I heard that the hotel is 500 years old, and the facilities are indeed a bit old and outdated. The only way to take a shower is to stand in the bathtub and shower head, without a hand shower, which is not very convenient. Many hotels in the UK do not provide toothpaste and toothbrushes. But this is the British countryside, so it is a good hotel. Breakfast and dinner are good. Beautiful environment."

"We arrived in the evening, and the hotel staff was very attentive and waiting for us. Parking was free and plentiful. Our room was very large, with three beds and two bathrooms, and very well-equipped. The breakfast was excellent, generously sized, and cooked to order, making it an authentic English breakfast!"

"Often pubs don't get the cooking right for a Sunday lunch and it is easy to feel processed. Quite the oposite. The roast beef was brilliant - tender as well as tasty and our server was enthusiastic, helpful and so attentive. If you like chocolate go for the Brownie pudding - It ouzed! A wonderful experience!! Well done The Bell."

"Just had a lovely overnight stay at the Ingleside Hotel in Cirencester with two friends. Excellent hotel with great rooms and a superb bar. Staff were incredibly friendly and breakfast was really good. We returned back to the hotel in the evening and decided to have a drink in the bar and although its not a big space it was full and with a great atmosphere and a brilliant pianist who could literally play whatever you requested! Great stay and would definitely recommend to others."
