"We had difficulties looking for the place as it's situated in a secluded area. However, it's considered value for money considering the cleanliness of room and convenience of getting around town. It's about 10mins walk to the bus and train station, with some cobbled roads along the way. So make sure your luggage wheels are geared up for it"

"Although this hotel is within walking distance to the SSB Rail Station in Chur We took a taxi as it was chucking it down with rain and our later arrival due to train cancellations from Zurich. The hotel itself is an old coaching house very quaint exterior and some of the old walls in the Breakfast room can be seen The reception area is small and we checked smoothly or room was on the 3rd floor facing the back of the hotel with a street and mountain view The room had an ensuite bathroom The shower room was sperate to the toilet and sink Ample storage space and desk with chair also a lounge chair A wall unit with tea /coffee machine/kettle and a fridge Two bottles of mineral water which unfortunately was sparkling not still We had a Queen bed and it was in the middle of the room The hotel has a back entrance which is used for entry after 22:00pm it's the blue key on your room key There is a small bar area and lounge on the ground floor they also provide umbrellas for guests use these are very popular The Breakfast room is by the lift on the raised ground floor The Breakfast is very good and plentiful a mixture of hot and cold buffet The hotel was adequate for our purpose and close to varies restaurants and cafe they also provide a list of recommended restaurants and cafes in Chur. I advise to book any restaurants you may chose to avoid disappointment if you just turn up expecting a table All in all a good family run hotel"

"Hotel Franziskaner har den bedste beliggenhed i den gamle by Chur, hvor der er kun 10 minutters gang (flat roads) fra Chur togstation, der ligger ved siden af busstationen.Busstur tager kun 2 stop uden for hotellet. Hotelpersonalet gav os et Chur-pas til offentlig transport og også nogle råd om, hvor man skal besøge.Vi elsker morgenmad.Kaffe er god.Hotelpersonalet var venligt.Vinduet i vores hotelværelse har gode udsigter til den gamle by. Men hotellet har ikke en elevator, og du skal bære din bagage op til din gulv.Mit hotelværelse har kun 2 power outs under sengebordene og du skal knæle ned for at sætte din telefon til opkrævning."

"On the plus side the hotel is centrally situated. On the minus side the hotel is very dated and needs some new furniture and fittings. Breakfast choice very limited with cheap versions of everything. No gluten free bread and no attempt to get any. Staff seemed off hand and busy chatting. Bedroom wasn't cleaned properly during our stay. Bathroom was obviously new and modern. For some bizarre reason the bathroom was fitted with flashing disco lights. Also a metal doorstop was fitted in the middle of the bathroom floor which we continually tripped on. The worse thing was no kettle, cups etc in the bedroom this is not acceptable in this day and age. Would not recommend."
