"The hotel's right by the lake, but a building in front blocks a good part of the view. Still, it's super easy to get to the lake, and the sunsets are beautiful. The facilities are definitely a bit dated; the decor feels like it's from over 10 years ago. On the bright side, the room is genuinely huge, and the balcony is massive – sitting out there feeling the breeze is incredibly relaxing. The breakfast setting is lovely, especially sitting outdoors surrounded by trees; it's very chill."

"The 'lake view' twin room was a complete rip-off. In similar rooms I've stayed in before, you'd open the door and be greeted by a beautiful view. Here, photo one is the view right after entering, photo two is from the sofa by the window, and photo three is when you're pressed right against the glass. You can only see a tiny bit of the lake from the third position, yet they still dare to call it a lake view room. The bathroom was also tiny, and the sink was outside the bathroom, so there was nowhere to put your clothes when showering. The staff, both at the front desk and in the restaurant, were very friendly and welcoming though."

Our house was located a ways away from the resort, so a car is useful if you are wanting to use the resorts facilities."

The children fly kites, chase bubbles, run wildly and enjoy themselves. The swing by the lake takes a large film of parents and children. The hotel also presents a travel shooting service. The children run and play. We are paralyzed on the lounge chair and blow the lake breeze to empty the baby. 🌊 The infinity pool built on the mountain has its own shallow water area for parents and children. In summer, you can play in the water without leaving home. The night light is on. A glowing tree by the pool reflects into the pool like a starry river. The atmosphere is directly full. "I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the InterContinental Qiandao Lake. The room was absolutely stunning, and the lake view was breathtaking. One of the most special features of the room was the bathroom design — the bathtub was positioned so that you could relax while enjoying the beautiful lake scenery, which made for a truly memorable experience. The staff were polite, friendly, and always willing to help. I also loved the hotel's interior design, which features a lot of natural wood, creating a warm and elegant atmosphere throughout the property. The breakfast offered a good selection of both Western and Chinese dishes. There is also a nice local Chinese restaurant nearby where you can try the region's famous fish, which I highly recommend. The only downside was transportation. Unfortunately, I missed my train because we were unable to get a taxi for about 40 minutes. Even though I tried to arrange transportation in advance, it was still not enough. The hotel does not provide a taxi service, so I would strongly recommend allowing plenty of extra time if you need to catch a train or have a fixed schedule. Apart from that, everything was wonderful, and I had an amazing stay. I would happily return in the future ☺️"

"The room is clean and tidy. I have high requirements for beds. I am very satisfied with the cleanliness of the beds and quilts and sheets here. I slept on the bed for two nights and didn't feel back pain, which is rare in other accommodations. According to the boss, the beds are all customized by him. You can see the green mountains outside when you lie on the bed. It feels so free. The dishes are also first-class, one fish and two dishes, and there are vegetables grown by the boss's family. Anyway, I can't control the taste of eating too much. Close to the Firefly Park, the flying fireflies are definitely worth seeing, which is amazing. If you go, make an appointment in advance to take pictures of the night view. The boss's family is very amiable and friendly. In general, this is a place where you can relax every year. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, it is quiet and peaceful."
