"For a trip with seniors, staying at the Zhongwu Jiuyuan Wisteria Pavilion is highly recommended! Before check-in, the butler, Alaia, contacted us in advance to inquire about our expected arrival time, dinner reservations, and breakfast arrangements. Throughout the check-in process, any issues were resolved quickly and efficiently – a big thumbs up! Accommodation: The environment is first-class. The rooms are located in the heart of Jiuyuan, offering scenic views at every turn. It's very quiet, with fresh air, perfect for leisurely strolls and relaxation. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are attentive and friendly. On the first day, after dinner, it was drizzling when we returned to the Wisteria Pavilion. The concierge proactively came out to greet us with an umbrella and helped our seniors – very thoughtful! Shuttle buses are readily available to all parts of the hotel, with quick response and excellent service. Dining: Dinner Buffet: Average, but worth trying if you enjoy buffets. Breakfast: We opted for a set breakfast at the small restaurant in Pilingyi because we wanted a quiet breakfast. Western and Chinese options were available, and since my family is vegetarian, we also prepared a completely vegetarian breakfast as requested – a very thoughtful touch. The dishes were quite plentiful; reviews mentioned large portions, which I guess reflects the catering to different customer needs. They even offered to pack up any leftovers to take home, preventing waste. Yuxiufang: Before leaving, I wanted to try the Black Pearl restaurant. The taste was acceptable, but the service was so-so, and the food was served very slowly. Because I was rushing to catch a train in the afternoon, I simply ordered stir-fried vegetables, radish fried rice, and sea cucumber tofu. The staff thoughtfully reminded me that the fried rice portion was large and suggested ordering half a portion if needed—this was probably the only heartwarming thing about the meal. Then came the long wait… Half an hour after being seated, only one serving of stir-fried vegetables arrived… Even after I told them I was in a hurry, they didn't speed up the service. After nearly 50 minutes, I had to go to the cashier to tell them that if the food wasn't ready by then, I would have to cancel the order. Only then did they rush to serve the food, and even after I emphasized again that I didn't have time to eat, they finally helped me pack it up… I had to follow up three times, and this was even when the restaurant wasn't full… As for the taste, it was acceptable; the radish fried rice was better than Yangzhou fried rice. If you're not in a rush, you can try it."
