"I booked this hotel loving the majority of photos they have online of their rooms. BEWARE…only 5 rooms are renovated and modern suites- the rest of the hotel is very out dated, chipped paint, old furniture, and terrible bathrooms in need of renovation. There is often no staff around for any assistance. Location is great- right on the water but that is it. Town is sweet and not touristy. Small and quaint and a good point to visit neighbouring beaches and towns. A major disappointment if you aren’t in one of the 5 suites. The suites are the only way to go with private balconies overlooking the sea."

"Staff were excellent at reception and very friendly. For the price paid the room was very basic and a curtain hangs to cover the wardrobe space, but clean. The pool area was nice and breakfast nice and simple. The place needs an update and has potential to be so much more. There is no shuttle to town and taxis and Ubers are not interested in the 1.2km ride. The walk along the shoulder of the road is precarious."

The property is strategically located: very close to the historic center and just minutes from the sea in Castro Marina, one of the most beautiful villages in Salento. We appreciated the tranquility of the place, ideal for those seeking relaxation away from the hustle and bustle. Breakfast is a highlight: plentiful, with fresh, typical local products, homemade cakes, seasonal fruit, and excellent coffee. The owners, Maria and Luigi, are extremely kind and always available, making us feel at home from the very first moment. Mr. Luogo even went to the nearby town in the morning to get lemon cream and Nutella tartlets for breakfast. Super. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back. Furthermore, the quality-price ratio is excellent: the property offers comfort and authentic hospitality at truly competitive prices for the area."

"Vi har en nat ophold på olivenhotellet i Castro. Enkle, lidt tilbageskåret hotel, men med raffinerede detaljer. Vores værelse udsøgte en terrasse med to sovepladser, to stole og et skjortebord, hvorfra man kunne se en charmerende udsigt over Castro Marina, et hav af smeralde grønne farvande. Det historiske centrum, som er let at gå og tilbringe en rolig dag eller aften i de lokale, der er til stede. Hotellet, som er forvaltet af hr. Luigi, meget opmærksom på alle detaljer. Frugt serveres på en elegant terrasse med altid udsigt over den vidunderlige Castro Marina. Ved morgenmad har vi spist salinsk kage, virkelig godt!! Tasser med hotel logo virkelig elegant.
