"Vi er to ortodokse kristne klostre fra New Zealand, og vi kom på pilgrimsrejse for at besøge St. Benedicts kloster her i Monte Cassino.Vi kan ikke anbefale Boteroom høj nok. Lejligheden var ubeskyttet, spotlessly ren, marmoreret i hele, rummelige badeværelser, den fælles store køkken var meget godt forsynet med mere, end vi kunne have brugt eller forestillet os. Boteværelse er en kort gåtur til centrum for restauranter og shopping.Vejen, der fører bjerget op til klostret, er bogstaveligt talt lige rundt om hjørnet fra Boteroom. "This was an overnight stay for us as we drove from Rome to Gallipoli. After we left the next morning, we wished we had stayed longer! Arrived in the dark and greeted by the owner who spoke little but adequate English. We were shown to our room which was clean and spacious with a kitchen and bath. We enjoyed both dinner (paid a nominal amount) and breakfast (included) in the attached restaurant. The next morning, as we were leaving, we noted the beauty of the grounds and surrounding area. "

"A very very welcoming hotel, with a family-run feel and such helpful hosts - nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff, and everyone was ready to give helpful advice or directions. For those interested, the proprietor gives a very interesting talk on the history of the town and the abbey and the battle, and can help visitors from every nation to understand the role of the different nations and the perspective of the local population (which includes his family). There is also plenty of advice on what to see locally and walks to do. The hotel is very convenient and central to the town, 20 minutes walk from the station, and close to plenty of places to eat (which the hotel staff will help to recommend). Our room was very comfortable, well equipped, and had a wonderful view of the abbey."
