"Smukt stort værelse, booket en Standard Double så forventede et lille værelse med en dobbeltseng, men sengen var kongelig størrelse.Smukt stort badeværelse også med bruser over badeværelset.Komplimentær te, kaffe og køkkener i vores værelse sammen med et køleskab. Værelset var spotlessly ren, morgenmad var buffetstil med alt, hvad du ville forvente. Alle personalet var meget venlige og engagerede.Vi blev kun i en nat under denne nylige varmebølge, så det var meget taknemmeligt for airconditionen.Det eneste lille negativ var, at baren havde lukket klokken 10:30 pm, så kunne ikke have en natlomme, da vi vendte tilbage. Vi ville helt sikkert blive igen, helt sikkert værd, hvad vi betalte."

"Everything was fine, but we didn't have a good view despite paying for a high-floor room. Also, there was only one bathrobe in our room rather than two, but they gave us one more when we asked. And the bathroom sink drain had a problem, so water barely passed through. Overall, the breakfast, pool facilities, and luggage storage were excellent for us. My one less star for cleanliness was due to a dirty wardrobe we had. But the room was fine and clean."

"This was my first time staying at a Marriott, and it certainly lives up to its reputation as a well-established hotel. Many hotels in the UK clean every three days, but Marriott cleans daily and provides drinking water and biscuits every day. Location: It's about a 5-10 minute walk from Cardiff Central train station, depending on how fast you walk. It's quite close, with hardly any turns – just follow the road straight. It's also very close to the city center for shopping; you can just stroll over. The bathroom is quite spacious and bright, and the lighting is good, making it suitable for putting on makeup. There's a bathtub, but the shower screen only covers half of it, so if you move around a lot while showering, water might splash everywhere. The room size is decent. After opening a 28-inch large suitcase, there's still plenty of space to walk around. There's also a large full-length mirror, but it faces the bed, which some Chinese guests might find bothersome. The only minor drawback is that the air conditioning wasn't very effective at cooling. Although it wasn't hot during my three days in Cardiff, I wanted it to be a bit cooler, but it didn't really work."

"The hotel is a little tricky to find from the post code. It is behind the David Lloyd sports centre and you have to drive through a barrier to get to the hotel. A quick look on google maps before you visit will help. The rooms are clean and comfortable but basic. Great for a night or two but not good for family or for business travellers who need a desk in the room. Food is basic but good enough, think burgers, fish & chips, Pizza etc."

"Stayed for two nights for the 100 cricket match. Unfortunately this was Friday & Saturday. Hotel is in the heart of the city in a very noisey area which goes through the night, then at dawn the road cleaners start.. Hotel room was very dirty and apparently they only clean it if you stay for more than 5 nights. No aircon so very hot room. Very poor amenities no shower gel, hair drier or coffee. I would not recommend this Hotel. "

"The parking was difficult - you had to go down a very tight, windy lane with a shutter at the bottom which was down! Apparently it went up when you get really close to it but it wasn't clear. They also would not give any details about free parking anywhere (I went to Radyr station which was free parking and only £3.60 for a ticket back). Room was very nice but internet was patchy which meant the TV was unwatchable! We also couldn't turn it on at the start - but that was just batteries! I asked at reception and they sent room service up to give us some! Random why they just couldn't at reception! Restaurant looked very nice but we are out. Place is clean and close to the city centre."

"Overall a good choice to reduce the cost of a long weekend stay as the city centre Premier Inns are considerably more expensive. Great parking facilities and lovely staff. Rooms are windowless, but well kitted out (no drink making facilities) and well maintained. The superb AC was a boon in 29C weather! A great bus service into the city centre is only a short walk away as are several supermarkets and food chains. Only gripe was being provided one pillow and one towel per person and having to pay for extras."
