"Jeg kom her med min familie til at spise, 13:20 h, frokosttid.Børnene ville have hamburgere, den vigtigste grund, vi kom hertil.På ordre blev vi fortalt, at der ikke er hamburgere, fordi der ikke er bunkere. Ingen har åbenbart den opfattelse, at folk vil spise burgere til frokost og tilrettelægge bumser i supermarkedet, lave nogle eller erstatte dem med brød eller ruller.Vi blev også fortalt, at der ikke er gedekød.Vi bestilte tre pizzaer. Når servitøren vendte tilbage fra køkkenet, oplyste han os, at de skal brænde i træovnen og pizzaer vil tage en time, en time.Lad os se, hvor længe det virkelig tager.Hvorfor skulle nogen have pizza? Det er ikke godt at se, at personalet nyder sig selv."

"The rooms are beds, a bathroom with a toilet and shower. We had 3 people so we got 2 double beds and a tv which did not really work and a table and chairs. The atmosphere is full of wildlife and there is a wooden playground, a church and lots of plants. The staff there said there would be WiFi but it was very slow and only available in certain parts of the hotel. There is a nice shop on site with very reasonable prices. Overall a good budget friendly place."

"Absolutely the best place we stayed in Uganda! Chimpundu Lodge was by far the highlight of all our accommodation in Uganda – we only wish we had booked an extra night. The staff could not have done more for us; from the moment we arrived, reception helped prepare us for our chimpanzee trek with great advice and the warmest smiles. The bar staff kept the drinks flowing (with two complimentary beers and wines each day) and were just as friendly. Dinner was incredible – fresh, delicious, with plenty of choice – if anything we were overfed! The lodge itself is stunning, with beautiful grounds where we spotted colobus and red-tailed monkeys right from our balcony. Our room was gorgeous, with a wrap-around balcony and a huge clawfoot bath I happily took advantage of. The location couldn’t be better – less than a 5-minute drive from the chimpanzee trekking area in Kibale Forest. Truly the best place we stayed in Uganda and one we would return to in a heartbeat. Also a note it was a little cooler in the evening when we visited and there was hot water bottles in the bed at night which was so lovely! Not actually needed due to the lovely covers on the bed but such a nice touch"

"I had a fantastic stay at Kemrose Hotel in Fort Portal. From check-in to checkout, the experience was smooth and enjoyable. The service was truly great. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with a smile. Nothing felt like too much trouble.. The rooms were very clean and neatly organized, which made for a comfortable and relaxing environment. A special highlight was the in-room percolator, a thoughtful touch for anyone who enjoys brewing their own coffee or tea without having to leave the room. The television worked perfectly (a basic but important comfort after a long day), and everything in the room was in good working order. The Breakfast was of very good quality, with generous portions. Even better, they offer an à la carte menu option, giving you flexibility and choice rather than just a fixed set menu. That’s a level of service you don’t always find in hotels of this size. My Verdict is, Kemrose Hotel delivers exactly what you want, cleanliness, working amenities, friendly staff, and good food. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Fort Portal."

"The rooms are spacious and colorful with soft beds and a nice bathroom with shower. Our room had a balcony with a table and chair. A real nice place to relax and the grounds have lots of vegetation. The staff were very friendly and did their best to look after your needs. Food was delicious, with big portions and the included breakfast was filling. If given the chance we would go back. We booked 5 rooms as there were 8 of us. Very reasonable price"

For me, that means returning to my beloved "Amooti" room- and I am already looking forward to sleeping there again when we head back for our next project site visit sometime next month in June 2026. "Vi blev i søens kabine i 2 nætter.Kabinen var lidt rustik, men det, der gør stedet så fantastisk, er søen og den omgivende naturreservat.Det er så stille, fredelige og smukke.Vi svømmede endda i søen blot skridt fra kabinen. Personalet er også meget venligt og venligt, og mad var god til alle vores måltider.Vi gjorde også en af de aktiviteter, der blev tilbudt af logi, som var et par timers vandretur/vandring gennem omgivelserne til et utroligt synspunkt. Vi ville have elsket at gøre mere af de aktiviteter, der blev tilbudt, men havde ikke tid nok.Naturreservatet, søen og den omgivende krater søregion i almindelighed er et meget smukt sted."
