"Lovely hotel housed in a beautiful old building with delightful city garden. Good proximity to motorway, and easy drive to city centre if needed. Continental breakfast was good value at 12 pounds. Service was very friendly. Parking place included and decent wifi. Couldn't have asked for more for the price."

"My work booked me in this updated hotel instead of my usual stay at Bristol Cribbs Causeway Premier Inn which is also an updated Premier Inn, possibly because Bristol Cribbs fully booked, I've yet to find out why the change. Again, another hotel who switch off the air con while you sleep so you can wake up all hot and sweaty in the middle of the night as the windows cannot open! This is my second night of disrupted sleep because of the lack of cool air in my room even though I have complained to the Manager, "Grace" who assured me they would leave it on for me. Not good service at all. So basically they take your money, which includes the air con but do not let you have control, which is a breach of the contract you have signed for the only problem is that you can't return it and get your money back! I have put multiple complaints to their Customer Relations about numerous Premier Inns and the fact they turn off the air con, but even then your words fall onto deaf ears. When I book a hotel myself, its never a Premier Inn unless their windows open. I always check to see if their windows open, if not, try another hotel. I must say though, the reason I mention Bristol Cribbs Causeway is because as long as you tell staff that you want the air con on through the night, they actually do leave it on. My advice to you is, if you want a good night's sleep , especially with warm nights approaching, don't stay here, stay at Bristol Cribbs Premier instead! The only good point to mention in my review is the Beefeater based on this site, along with a lot of other food/retail shops nearby, the staff are really lovely in the restaurant and food is very well presented and tasty. Finally, I am writing this at 3am in the morning hoping to diffuse my anger and frustration while listening to a noisy fan and hoping I can drop off and not sleep through my alarm and be late for work again!"

"Overall, everything was very good. The staff were friendly and polite, the bed was comfortable, the air conditioning was sufficient, and the location was great. The only downsides were the lack of a refrigerator and the bathroom exhaust fan, which couldn’t be turned off and was a bit noisy."
