"This hotel was a real disappointment. It is in a stunning location, and behind the old exterior, it is very modern inside. However, the service is appalling. The hotel advertises a bar which was not open and a member of our party wanted to use the spa one day to be told it is closed. Breakfast is also very average, being the same each day and with no toaster. In no way is this 4*. The rooms are well appointed but with poor storage and an open plan bathroom, which lacks privacy. I am told the service issues are due to a lack of staff, which is an issue in Portugal."

"It was a good or lucky thing to have chosen this hotel for a quick visit to Braga since the hotel itself is located in the heart of the monument to visit (Bom Jesús do Monte) and very close to another point of interest (Sameiro Basilica) where we were able to enjoy one of those epic sunsets (thanks to the recommendation of the hotel receptionist). The hotel is old and could definitely use a refresh, but it is clean, beautiful and in a very good location. There are plenty of reasons to give it a very good rating."

"The service was warm and welcoming. The hotel was new, clean, and refreshing. Several groups were staying there; I don't know which country they were from, but it seemed like an American vacation group? They were saying goodbye very loudly outside the door at 2 AM, which was extremely impolite. This was the only thing I wasn't satisfied with. It's very close to the city center, and there's a Chinese restaurant called Huabei Restaurant about 500 meters away. The owner was very nice and would help prepare Chinese food according to our needs."

"I booked the hotel for two nights from July 10 to 11 on July 5. As the hotel is self-check-in mode, I have been waiting for the hotel to send a check-in guide email but have not received any message until 48 hours before check-in. I then sent multiple emails (using two different emails) to ask for check-in methods, but I didn't get a reply. The day before check-in, I contacted the booking platform for help. The platform replied three hours later that it could not contact the hotel. After trying to call, the other party's staff hung up the phone because the language was not available. After I sent an email to the hotel again, I finally received a reply saying that the price was wrong. If you want to check in, you need to increase the price. The content of the email has no payment and no explanation. I forwarded this email to the platform, which is 8 hours since I first contacted the platform. The platform said that it had not received any notification from the hotel about the price error and needed to verify it with the hotel. It was not until the day of check-in that the platform received the official instructions from the hotel to confirm that the price was wrong and could not be received. Some questions: • If the price is indeed wrong, why did the hotel not check in advance and take the initiative to notify the platform, but wait for the guests to contact us before processing? • I have compared other platforms (such as Agoda, Booking, etc.) when booking, the price is the same, not an isolated error. • Why is no reply to multiple emails asking about check-in methods? The above is the complete process of my stay for reference by other consumers."
