"A nice place with a breakfast buffet. Bedroom had just enough space, mattress and pillow weren’t great, shower was hot and had good pressure, sink did not, soap and lotion included. What I liked was the common room with a pool table, and other games, a fridge for guests, self serve beer and coffee that you add to your tab, beautiful small garden and on site parking, What I didn’t like was limited check-in time, cameras everywhere, owner seemed ill at ease, hovered. Not a super friendly place."

"We enjoyed our stay at the castle. Genuin hospitality, interesting cuisine and the most vain peacock we have ever seen made our stay pleasant and entertaining. Host and co-owner Corinna, an architect and art historian by trade is a gracious host. The castle is an eternal project to be enjoyed now and revisited in a year or so to Watch the progress. "We had a very nice 2-night stay here. features include: Friendly, communicative staff leading up to our reservation Nice central Mons location Multiple guest kitchens--super useful, as the restaurant options in nearby Stege are ... slim. It was very convenient to be able to just pick something up in the supermarket one night. Lots of nice public areas to eat, read, or play games too. Really neat park behind the hotel, be sure to check it out. Breakfast is mid-range, I'd say: seed buns, crackers, a few veggies, watermelon, yogurts, jams, breads, OJ, apple juice, coffee, tea. Not the best I've ever had, but entirely adequate. For a bit extra, you can pack some of the breakfast items to take along as your lunch. I found this very useful as the places we were going didn't have great eating options. Snack bar includes chips, walnuts, local ice cream. I think they have a variety of room types. We had a sleeps-3-with-private-bath. Many rooms have shared bathrooms which seemed clean and accessible without difficulty. There is a bus stop right outside. We booked on *******."

"Quite unexpectedly in the tiny village of Elmelunde, you find this pearl of a classic B&B of high quality. The place was originally built in the 1920's as a home for the elderly but closed down 33 years ago just to be taken over by Brit, who has run the place for the past 32 years. The place is tidy, clean, bright, functional, cosy and in every respect reflects that it is owned by a person who cares for the place and its guests. The maintenance level is impeccable, the breakfast buffet delicious and complete, Brit's relaxed yet professional check in and out service is a joy, the TV room comfortable, the beds and duvets ensure sweet dreams, ready made dinners can be bought and warmed in the microwave oven as there is no restaurant in town and a wide array of drinks can be purchased on trust. I spent just one night here when hiking the Camøno, and this stay was the absolute luxury highlight of our trip with Brit taking good care of us, so I'll remember the place for some other time."
