"Berc is as picture perfect in person as on the website. Alen will greet you with a broad smile and lots of tips on restaurants and activities (if you want to visit the bees at Kralov Med then be sure to book several days in advance). Our rooms were light, spacious and filled with generous extras: apricot biscuits, fizz, apples and soft drinks in the fridge, local moisturisers in the bathroom. Breakfast was a feast for the eyes and taste buds: grains you milled yourself, local yogurt, four types of Slovenian honey and the usual breads, cereals, meats, cheeses and condiments. Thank you to all the team for their kindness."

"Nothing seemed to be working, not the saunas, not the restaurant, and the lady at reception was not necessarily best suited for the service industry guest interaction. First we asked about food….she said there is none. No explanation about the restaurants being closed or that, as we later discovered that we can at least order a cake and fruit to our room. We ended up having to eat over priced fries and bad pizza for dinner down at the lake, tired after out drive and no attempt by the hotel to ease us into our stay. No recommendations and even when we asked it felt like we had to fish for answers or like our questions were stupid _ asking where we could eat and about kayaking on the lake. She looked at my dog and then looked at me like I was a naughty schoolchild “you did not say there would be a dog. You know there is a dog fee.” I knew that but the way she said it was just worth an eye roll. Potential but for us somewhat of a lame experienc. I hated that we were not told there would be no restaurant on the day we booked. Neither sauna it turns out….neither….."

"We enjoyed our stay here a lot! The location is beautiful, mountains all around. It was tricky finding it, and there was a rutted dirt road to traverse, but it appeared they are updating the road so hopefully that improves. We stayed in the Luxury Cabins, which do have their own private bath. The cabin was clean, cute, and comfortable. Bed was comfortable. They are located close to each other, and unfortunately we had neighbors who played really loud music all evening. This was against policy, and I’m not holding it against the hotel. The breakfast buffet (included) was good, but I do not recommend the dinner buffet. Not worth the cost, and food was just okay. Our only complaint is that the shower area was moldy, and several floor tiles in the shower were spongy, with water oozing out when you stepped on them when supposedly dry, which was kinda gross. Easy enough to fix. We would stay again."

"Stayed at the Old Bled House to attend a wedding. I normally stay at corporate (big brand) hotels so I was bit nervous staying at a small establishment like this. The location of the Old Bled House is great. A short walk to the lake and is close to many restasurants and bars. It is also super quiet as it's set back from the main road. Service is fantastic. It's very sincere, friendly without being too formal. It's good to be able to have a conversation with the staff and they all have a sense of humor. It just feels like going to best friend's home. We booked a large room on the top floor. The room has a lot of characters and it was beautiful. Through the windows we could see the lake and the mountains, and the room is large. The bathroom though, is disappointing - it's small and the water constantly leaks out of the shower cubic. However it is still managable."

"This is a very comfortable, quiet hotel just away from the scenic views of Lake Bled. It's well worth your stay. They provide a lovely breakfast too. On the night that we stayed, there was quite a dramatic thunderstorm that light up the surrounding hills and kept us awake for a while but certainly no fault of the hotel :-) We enjoyed the thunderstorm on our balcony which every room seemed to have."

"Sasa was the perfect host and we loved our spacious apartment in Lake Bled. It was perfectly situated in town where we could walk up to the castle, to the best pizza restaurant, access to the lake and all its activity in 2 min. Grocery options close by. The apartment was nicely designed, super clean, quiet, comfortable, spacious and the kitchen well stocked. We would highly recommend for a short or long-term stay."
