"We spent a few nights here in April 2024. We usually take 10 days and go to Europe in April but this year we had to stay close to home. I found this last minute and it was a nice time. Staff is very friendly. We were the only people on the resort one night but even the nights when there were other people it was peaceful. We got one of the tents with the outdoor tub. It was great sitting in it and looking at the stars. The clawfoot tub was luxury. My husband loved cooking with their cast iron. We walked down to the river. We brought all of our food with us and never left once we got there. It was exactly what we needed. No, it wasn't a fancy vacation, but it was calm, lowkey and relaxing. We would not hesitate coming back in the spring or winter. I am not sure I would want to be there in the heat of Texas summer even with the mini splits. Thank you, Walden owners and staff, for a respite from our daily lives."

"Han besluttede sig på sidste øjeblik for at tage en hurtig rejse til Texas Hill Country og valgte Blanco i stedet for den travle og dyrere Fredericksburg.Hotel Henry så godt ud, så vi besluttede at prøve det.Det var et godt valg. Værelset var rummeligt (kongeværelse med separat opholdsrum) og ubevægeligt rent.Beddet var meget højt (bevidst om, at du har mobilitetsspørgsmål), men meget komfortabelt, og hotellet var roligt på trods af at det var mindre end en blok fra Hwy 281. Ansatte var venlige og hjælpsomme.Vibe er sat tilbage... næsten AirBnB-ish.Ingen var på forreste skrivebord, da vi kom derhen, men der var en note med mit navn på den på tælleren med værelsesnøglen (en faktisk nøgle... ikke et nøglekort). Da vi så den forreste kontormægler senere spurgte hun, om vi havde problemer eller havde brug for noget.Nej... alt var godt!Der er en lille menu til mad, herunder morgenmad, men vi spiste ikke der, så jeg kan ikke kommentere det. Hvis vi har brug for et hotel i Blanco igen, vil jeg være glad for at blive her igen.Glædelig med vores besøg."

"I spent 2 nights at the Blue Retreat Cottage as part of a trip to the Hill Country. I had passed thru Blanco a few years ago and loved the town so wanted to spend some more time there. Great town I recommend you check it out. I thought the cottage was perfect for me. Enjoyed the deck and had coffee there each morning. Access to the State Park is right thru a gate in the backyard which was convenient as I like to take morning walks. Lots of deer around in the morning! All in all I enjoyed my time here and will definitely stay here again!"
