Love the Onsen so much with few minutes walking to Shirage waterfall where you have luxury to take all time pictures without crowds. Please book with breakfast and dinner as no restaurant nearby. "I really liked the wild, free-spirited feel. The hot spring town isn't so much close as it is inside the hot spring town (lol). It's great that you can walk to your favorite hot spring even if you've been drinking. What's more, the quality of the spring water in this area is amazing! There are plenty of delicious local ingredients and products at supermarkets and roadside stations, so in a way you can enjoy a luxurious meal to your heart's content. This time we went in winter, so after the sauna we jumped into the deep snow behind the building! It was also great that tourist attractions like the Blue Pond and Shirahige Falls are so close by. Next time, I'd like to bring my pet with me in the summer."

"This seems more like an airbnb that hotel but everything was great! Fully functional apartment, with clean toilets and kitchen! Space is great for a family too! There is a convenience store just a short walk away. Just one down side, if there’s someone staying above you (could be from other host), it gets noisy when they walk around. You can hear all the footsteps. Plus point, no need to carry luggages up and stairs! Oh ya, the entrance is on the side of the house."

"My favorite place on this trip was Biei. It was very quiet with few people in the off-season. The B&B was small but beautiful. The breakfast made by Yuki was delicious. The power-assisted bicycle allowed me to see the sunset and sunrise perfectly. There is no convenience store nearby, so it is recommended to replenish food near the station before coming. I will stay here again next time."
