The guesthouse was a lovely base for the weekend - comfortable and roomy, with excellent breakfasts! In particular, however, the advice from Nicki on places to eat, places to visit, and getting around safely was invaluable. So much online about Durban is out of date, having a knowledgeable, trusted advisor like Nicki is a necessity. Plus, she and her husband are absolutely lovely people!"

"This accommodation is basic but neat and comfortable. We arrived late in the evening but there was someone waiting to receive us. The garden rooms are small but we were just looking for a decent shower, toilet and a comfortable place to sleep. There is DSTV. The parking was fine and safe. Some items like furniture may need some repair or replacement. I can overlook the minor repair issues based on the need just to have a clean and neat place to sleep over"

In particular, Shanice went out of her way to help us a number of times and really improved our experience. I left a pair of AirPods behind and after I had left she helped to locate them. The only room for improvement would be the hotel breakfast which didn’t always have many vegetarian options"

"Our stay at Ridgeview Lodge was wonderful. The rooms and other hotel facilities (lounge, bar, dining room, swimming pool and garden) are perfect. The reception by the owner and support staff was excellent. We had trouble with our car and the host was extremely accommodating, patient and supportive in providing information to assist us. We were given information on things to do in the area. The breakfast is delicious and generous. Overall, a short but awesome stay. We hope to come again."
