"This is probably the best and newest legitimate hotel on the island (compared to guesthouses). It's under the Banyan Tree brand, so the quality is definitely there. When it first opened, there were some teething problems and a lot of complaints. I also encountered issues like difficulty reaching them by phone and a mix-up with the complimentary whale-watching time. However, once I arrived, I felt it was pretty good, especially with Manager Bai at the front desk, who handled problems meticulously and professionally. The whale-watching package I pre-booked exceeded expectations! The full sea-view room offered an incredible vista; you open the window right to the ocean and the Blue Bridge. The location isn't in the bustling commercial area, so it's relatively quiet. We had both meals at the hotel, which was a bit pricey but didn't disappoint. We were also lucky enough to see whales nearby, spouting water and feeding for a while. Overall, it really amplified the vacation vibe. If you're looking for a high-quality hotel on Weizhou Island, I highly recommend this one!"
